Thats why I think capturing Fire Pro videos is a waste of time at this point. What is the point spending an hour trying to properly capture a match? Be an editor and maybe just tape the match up until the finishing stretch, then play the same match, and at around the same time you stopped off at start doing what you want and get the finish you want? Then some simple editing can make them jive.

After all, not every match is gonna be a Stuart Robinson/Flip Staley classic. :B

I... don't think I ever saw Stuart/Flip. Is it bad?

Actually, it was voted match of the night at 2 live PPVs, but I was trying to be sarcastic.

I've done some "angles" in my feds before and its pretty obvious when I'm controlling the characters cause they start missing strikes/grapples, etc. And they do a lot of taunts So yeah, its just hard cause of the video lag. Plus it is REALLY rewarding when I get a simmed match that I like a lot

Plus it is REALLY rewarding when I get a simmed match that I like a lot I'm with Geese on this one. Simming for my 12/3 show was a pain but I got some great matches out of it. I prefer video sims for the lone reason that it eliminates the guess work out of results. Instead of picturing what's going on in a write-up, I'd rather have my Edits tell the story like it was meant to be told (limitations and all).

Damn right you got some great matches out of it, your n event 2/3 falls match was f'n AWESOME (Loved the angle as well, perfect example of how to integrate stories into Fire Pro!) And yeah, I prefer video matches cause it takes the guess work out and allows us to watch the match as it happens in Fire Pro. While it might take a while to get a GREAT match (even with great edits), there's just something special about watching an amazing Fire Pro match that I enjoy seeing and presenting Plus there are plenty of talented write-up guys in our e-fed circle, and I like to be able to present the videos to do something different. I think one of the best things about our e-fed world now is that each fed has its own feel and presentation and everyone does their own thing so well

That every fed would have a different feel, a different way to put a match together, and we're seeing it a year or so later... LATER, being the key word, but we're seeing it just the same. Uhm. Oops. -_-;;

Well you know the old saying, "BETTER LATE THEN ORTON!" I know..i know...not really that funny, i just wanted to take a cheap shot at him ;) But yeah, I really love how each fed has developed their own style of doing matches and presenting them. Though I do need to differentiate LAWL and Voltage presentation a bit more. :-/

I need to change my presentation, but I really am too lazy.
Although since the PWW board is officially deaded(yes, deaded) I'll need to include the RPs into the show somehow, which will be very hard considering my RPs are usually longer than 2 entire shows.

Geese, do what I do if you want to do that... I tape my shit on my television and then have a VCR hooked up to the PC.

I used to do that but I found the video quality took a bit of a drop. Plus right now I'm running short of physical space AND a VCR to do it with. What I may end up doing is a plan Moto and I have for getting a dual output from the PS2: one output into the tv and one output into the USB DVC video device. That way I can watch/play normally with the TV while recording at the same time. I think that would be the best as it would still give maximum video quality while not making me take more time to capture from the VCR.
