Being a big fan of both series ("serieses"?), I'm definitely looking forward to that title, if it manages to make it to the US. I'm pretty interested to see how it works, gameplay-wise, though. I guess it's apparently supposed to blend both play styles together, but they both play so differently, I'm not sure how that'll work.

Prof Layton games are fun, dude. I got a pile of people that I work with hooked on them! They're all giving me hell because they're addicted but they've finished all versions of the game already!

Just got to the final chapter of the first Professor Layton game I am really enjoying it. I liked the twist and the little Phoenix Wright like deduction that Layton did.

Just beat Professor Layton and I enjoyed it a lot. I was a little hesitant on getting it in the beginning because I wasn't sure how I would get into all the puzzles, but I'm glad that I got it.

So I think I'm going to try to get Professor Layton 2 and 3 tomorrow and that should hopefully be enough to bridge my portable gaming to the end of next month when Golden Sun comes out.
Also trying out some DJ Max Portable 3 on the PSP to put in some filler time.

Just finished Golden Sun: Dark Dawn and I enjoyed it. It is what you expect out of a Golden Sun game and it was nice to see some returning characters. If you played the previous Golden Sun games, you will probably enjoy this also. If you haven't played it... Why not? It's one of the best GBA games.
You get to choose from 8 party members which 4 of them are sons/daughters of Isaac/Garet/Ivan/Mia. It's too bad 2 of the "extra" characters are pretty bland. They join the team late in the game and don't really provide much to the overall story. The extra Earth Adept I got was only used for one spell and is pretty weak in battle. She also only said about 10-15 lines through out the game and most of them are just 1 liners.
The ending, which was pretty poor ending, sets up a sequel... Awesome!
The only problem I had with the game is that it is a little bit on the easier side and the lack of bosses. Star Magician makes a return and he is a pushover compared to when he was The Lost Age.

Yanno, it's sad, because I played through and loved both the previous Golden Sun games, but it's been so long, I really don't remember much about them at all. I remember a few character names, and I remember hunting down all those Djinn things to get really cool summons during battle, but that's about it. :/ Still looking forward to starting Dark Dawn one of these days, but it just bugs me that I can't remember much about either of the first two games.

Does anyone have an original DS they don't use and haven't traded in I could borrow/have? I plan on getting a 3DS, just can't afford it at launch. I'd be willing to trade my ps2 for it, or send it back after I upgrade. I traded my DS in several months ago in a moment of weakness and I'm starting to regret it.

Sure. I have a white one that isn't in, um... exactly pristine condition, but I could bear to part with it.

I don't care, as long as it works.
Stupid Pokemon... every time I think I'm out, they pull me back in.
EDIT: Thanks, btw... you're a friggin' champ.
By any chance do you still have my address or do you need it again?

Yeah, I'll need your address. Txt it to me, and I'll try to get it on its way tomorrow - decent paycheck permitting.

So. My place of employment hosted a 3DS preview event last night.
And it totally sold me.
After playing around with Pilotwings Resort and some Nintendogs, and also having some fun with the some of the augmented reality stuff, I'm a believer. I really think I'll wait until Christmastime, just in hopes of an Ocarina bundle, but after having my hands and eyes on the 3DS, it's gonna be a looooooong wait.
Seriously, it is freaking. Amazing.

Can't wait to get my 3DS. With any luck, Amazon will ship it so that I get it on the Monday after launch day. Although, it's funny, because as excited as I am for the 3DS, I don't plan on getting any launch games, so it's not like I'll get to experience any real 3DS games yet.
