Nintendo doesn't hate RPGs. They hate gaijin.

Yeah, and Chibi Robo's localization is the proof.

So after hoarding my moneys for a long while (I pay a mortgage, sonny) and being in denial about the DS actually being better than the PSP, I went ahead and just ordered a black onyx DSlite wif Contact (thanks to you guys), New SMB, and Nintendogs (a peace offering to the fiancee when she sees how much money I spent on our new toy) I'm getting FF III when it's released.
Y'see, my old roommate had a ds, and I fucked around with it a bit.. but that was over a year and a half ago. Lemme see what decent games it had back then -
Mario 64 ds Warioware touched The Metroid: Hunters Demo.
Other than that the games were crap, and I figured that since it'd already been out a while and still didn't have anything GOOD, it might flop.
Damn was I wrong. And now I'm glad I'm getting one.
BTW, is Phoenix Wright really worth my 30+ bux? I know it's funny, I know it's a cult classic... but for someone like me, TRYING to pinch their pennies, is it worth it?

Well, I broke down and PWAA too. Cancelled contact after reading several mediocre reviews of it, and 'sides, a buddy of mine bought it and would let me borrow it if I asked. So that's no sweat.
Anybody played Trace Memory? How does it compare to PWAA (from what I can tell it has similar aspects)?

Nah. Trace Memory, from what I hear, takes a lot of the adventure out of the adventure-style game. Nothing at all like Phoenix Wright, for Phoenix Wright is made up of some kind of combination of WIN, awesome, and whatever it is that makes Cheez-Its so goddamned good.

If you want to help your girl realize just how essential your, uh, meaning the DS that belongs to BOTH of you, of course, is AC will help to do the trick.

Yo, do any of you ever actually get online with your DSeses? When I picked up mine, I got the "Get a WiFi thingy FREE" deal, but I haven't even taken it out of the bag yet. Does anyone here play AC anymore? AC is about all I have time for these days (and a shot of Meteos once in a while), but I'm wondering if the WiFi thingy is worth cracking out of the box or not, maybe to see how many times you clowns can lap me in Mario Kart... Just checking.

I haven't gone online yet other then doing a DS 2 DS with a friend. Which isn't really using the online totally. I need to get Mario Kart one of these days, that's for sure. I actually am taking a break from AC now after playing nonstop since getting it and the DS. I made like the second upgrade to my house (the 10,000 bells) one and, in forcing myself to fish like 10 nights in a row, kinda got a bit burnt out. Also, my favorite neighbor (Alice koala) moved and that's been a morale blow All that and...i've got about 4 e-fed shows to finish in the next month and a half So yeah, i think im taking a bit of a DS break (besides Mario) til Yoshi's Island 2 and Castlevania

I'm with Geese on this one... I don't get much online time with my DS.
That's not to say I don't like it - I played Metroid Hunters online for about a month solid online, just searching for people to play before remembering I hated FPSes.
As it is, until Pokemon comes out - and even then, probably only with people who aren't complete retards - I won't be on WiFi with my DS for some time.
If I had Mario Kart, I'd play that though.

Hmm, general DS question here:
I know you can "beam" someone a demo of a game when you do DS to DS wifi (in like the same room).
Can you do the same when playing through broadband? Or do both people need the same game even to connect with each other? Like if I bought Super Mario Kart, could I beam a demo version to one of you guys over broadband so we could play online using just one game? I know the "demo game" is never as complete but i'm just wondering if that works.

Nintendo's Wifi is a piece of crap so I don't bother going on.
