I haven't seen any Wii ads, only the game ads you'd mentioned. I guess N didn't feel that it was necessary to make fruity, scary ads like Sony?

Yeah amazingly Wii didn't need weird freaky commercials advertising possessed babies to sell their VIDEO GAME system. What a freaking novel idea! The only Wii related TV commercials I saw were for Red Steel and Marvel as well. Maybe they will start rolling them out this week.

I'm extremely surprised that, at the very least, there haven't been Twilight Princess commercials.

So I am like, holding my Wii right now and stuff, and it feels all sexy. I'm not going to play with it tonight because I'm, I dunno, tired maybe or something. Anyway, the top has two flaps that flip open that accomidate four GameCube controllers (the Wavebird will fit) and two memory cards. So yeah, buy a Wii and you can still get the best the GameCube has to offer for cheap and stuff.

What games did you get?
Also, I hate you.

I only reserved Metal Slug Anthology, which is not out yet so I don't care. I glanced at Red Steel and said what the hell and grabbed it. Not interested in Zelda because I am getting it for the GameCube which I can play on my Wii anyway so that's something.

Awesome, Duff! We need some updates when you get your priorites straight and realize that you'll get all of the sleep you want and more when you're dead. I'm interested to see how Red Steel turns out...

I have not touched Red Steel because my brother and I have been having way too much fun with Wii Sports. Literally acting them out in your room is almost as fun as actually playing the games for real. Maybe more fun because I could do it in the nude if I wanted. OMG bad thoughts.
Seriously, way too much fun. For golf you hold it like you are holding a club. For baseball you hold it like the grip of a bat or like you are pitching the ball. For tennis it is like you are swinging a tennis racket. Same thing with bowling, swing your arm like you are really bowling. All of the games recognize wrist twists to add spins as well.
The most fun one is the boxing because you hold the remote and nunchuck and together they act like the two gloves. My brother and I were almost jumping around as we kicked the shit out of each other. Boxing is going to help me lose weight because it is way too much to play and it moves me around a lot. Makeshift workout disguised as a video game.
I read one review of Wii Sports where someone said it didn't feel natural playing them. I think it was a GameSpot because there was a video of it as well. Watching it the guy was playing the games sitting down! Of course it's not going to feel natural trying to bowl like you are in a wheelchair numbnuts. It is the closest thing to actually playing the sports themselves, that guy was an idiot.

Thanks for the review I think Wii boxing and Wii tennis are the most interesting to me and hearing how interactive they are is getting me excited I heard bad things about Red Steel, nly that the sword parts of the game are few and far between. I'm not really interested in the gun part but i want a dedicated Wii sword game. Glad to know you're having fun with Wii Sports. Download any virtual console games?

Yeah, Gamespot had Red Steel at 5.5/10. That's pretty fucking brutal for a game that has been in development for so long. Oh well, take no chances, make no progress, at least the Wii's lauch titles aren't a bunch of EA garbage that you can get for every other platform.

I'm still barely holding off on the desire to get a Wii. The only thing holding me back is the reasoning I gave for refunding my PS3 reservation; it's just one more damn thing I'd have to move.
