Today's BRAWL update is one I wasn't expecting to see, but now that I have, I'm disappointed. It's Saki, from the Treasure-made N64 game Sin & Punishment! He's in the game as an assist trophy, but even his introduction makes mention of how amazingly well he fits in with the rest of the characters, which means he's really the first Assist Trophy they've shown that could've easily been a full-blown character.

I was wondering why N released Sin and Punishment on the VC, now we know. Oh well, there goes my hopes for VPW 2 on the VC.

Got the Wii Play for the 2nd remote and...... don't think it was worth my $10.

It's garbage, eh? Tank game is fun, and pool isn't bad, but other than that, and the fact you get an extra controller, yikes! That's why I was having a tough time recommending it in the first place. Oh well, go get some decent games and reaffirm your purchase! ;D

I wouldn't say it's garbage, but I would rather pay that $10 towards Wii Sports than Wii Play. I am though, enjoying Twilight Princess, but I rather not overload myself like I did with the DS, PSP, and the PS2. But, I've been considering getting Smash Bros. Melee or Fire Emblem for the GameCube to have a change of pace instead of playing Zelda for hours.

I could...
...though I have never beaten a single Mario game that I've played.

Yeah but I can tell you that the experience alone of playing SMG is worth the money. Whether or not you beat it or not and unlock all the secrets or whatever, you just have to play it. Its amazing, dude WiiPlay is fun for the pool game and worth it for the Wiimote, The tank game is ok but i haven't gone back to play it after the first time. I've actually gone back to play the pool game.

Well, they released it on VC because it's fucking awesome and there was finally no logical reason to not bring it over. Goddamn that game is awesome, even nearly a decade after the fact. I wouldn't say it's garbage, but I would rather pay that $10 towards Wii Sports than Wii Play... Wait wait. What? Did you not get Wii Sports with your Wii?

I'm just saying that if I could choose between Wii Sports and Wii Play to buy with the remote, I would spend that $10 towards Wii Sports instead. ...or something like that, but I think you know what I mean.

Well, then, get Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games. It's very Wii Sports-y. Just with fencing and 10,000 meter dives instead of baseball.

And get cooking mama! Actually, I rented it, and it was worth the rental just to hear the Japanese voice actress say "Great! better san ma-ma!" with her Chimpokomon South Park episode-esque "Bomb sa harbor"-like accent! ;D

So.. I should avoid buying GameCube games? I downloaded Cooking Mama for the DS, but I haven't tried it yet. Tried Mario Party DS though.

There are a few GCN games worht picking up, for sure, but you'll need a GCN controller to play them, AND a GCN memory card (Shit like SSB:M, LoZ: Wind Waker, either Metroid Prime, Pikmin 1&2 and piles of other crap I'm forgetting right now). Forget Cooking Mama, unless you rent it, 99% of people would think it's total ass, but I had fun with it (AS A RENTAL, I wouldn't fork out any more than $10 for it). The DS one is fun, and it BELONGS on a handheld at discount prices.
So yeah, there's a start for you.

I'm not going to go overboard with the GameCube games, but only a few specific ones, like Melee and Fire Emblem for example. Also looking for a few party games since my friends are now constantly invading my house just play the Wii. ...and is a Charging Station for the Wii remotes worth investing in? This is why I hate wireless controllers/keyboards/mice(mouses?) www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=802574
