This is probably a REALLY stupid question, but does that thing require high speed Internet to work, too? Hm... If only there were a way to get online with my Wii and DS without having high speed Internet...

Heh, I just found a GameCrazy receipt in my wallet, and realized, if I trade in another game or two (and I do have a couple I'm willing to part with), I could score a new game. I'm considering Fire Emblem for the Wii, or Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles... I'm leaning more towards RE, since I never got around to playing the GCN version of FE...

You MUST have high-speed internet to do ANYTHING these days.
Seriously, it's 2007, not 1997! Get with the program!

$60 for another Wii Remote and Nunchuck. Ouch. =/ Guess its time for me to let go some of the games I don't even touch and trade them in...

So I picked up Umbrella Chronicles yesterday, and, I know I said I wouldn't play any new games until I clear out my backlog (although, FF12 is prolly the biggest game in my backlog at the moment, and since my PS2 ain't working anyway...), but so far I finished up three levels and a sub level. Pretty neat game; it's got quite a bit of replayability, because you can replay levels to look for files you missed on your first trek through, and also to earn higher ranks (which unlocks other sub missions in certain cases) and gain stars to upgrade your weapons. Each level is topped off with a boss battle, and while all you really need to do is figure out their patterns, they can still be pretty tough. The game itself doesn't really fill in the storyline blanks (instead, it just recaps the events of RE0, RE1, and RE3, along with some other stuff that apparently leads up to Umbrella's fall), but it's the files you find within the levels that do that. Overall, for an on rails shooter, it's fun, and it's pretty challenging; hell, I'm playing on Normal, and I've died multiple times in the first three levels. I even died within the first minute of the first level, but that might've just been because I suck.

I'd enjoy it if I could see the monsters MORE THAN THE HALF SECOND BEFORE THEY RAPE MY FACE. That'd be nice.

Hmm, one year of Wii action has passed, and N choses to mark the occasion with three shitty VC games. Where's Earf-bound at already, and more importantly, SUPER DODGE BALL?!?!

I've held off on VC games so far cause I have a lot of them still working on my NES and SNES.
But for some reason, I never actually HAD Super Dodge Ball despite playing it at my friends' houses repeatedly. So once N puts out Super Dodge Ball for download, I'm buying it immediately.
Was Volleyball any good on NES? Super Spike V Ball was pretty fun!

Jesus! NiGHTs is due out in December? Gamespot didn't seem too excited about the preview version they just tried, sounds like Sega needs to get their collective shit together and fix it before they bury a legend! Is anyone in a hurry to play the game considering how much shit is already out there? Sega should wait, fix the game, and let the holiday CARPET BOMBING of A-list titles happen instead of rushing the game.
PS: Anyone else think that VF5 should be like ten bucks instead of the $50 - $60 it's sitting at right now?

I've never been a VF fan so $10 is about right ;D And yeah, I think NiGHTs better be pretty damn awesome cause its not a well-known game AND is up against a ridiculous amount of games this season. So it needs positive word of mouth and if the game isn't top notch, its not gonna get it Then again, gamespot didn't have a shining review of FPR so they are kinda losing credibility with me when it comes to giving non-popular games their due.

It think those soulless vermin applied a 4.0 to Tenchu Z, too. Either the GS editors are getting picky these days, or the game really isn't coming together. They were really picking at it quite a bit, so who knows. I wonder if IGN did a "hands on" preview, too?

And didn't the Phoenix Wright games get pretty mediocre review scores? Phoenix Wright has become one of my favorite series...

If NiGHTS isn't fucking amazing, I'm going to go to Japan and kill Yuji Naka with my own bare hands.
