Amazingly, AMAZINGLY, I was able to hook it up and get it on the internet with NO trouble. I was worried i'd have wifi hook up issues but it did it without trouble. Really, the DS and the Wii have both been PHENOMENAL in being trouble-free from the get go in setting stuff up. Nintendo deserves props for that.
Im really enjoying Wii Sports. Tennis is quite cool but i do hope new and more deeper tennis games come out. But Wii sports is fun and ive just been checking out the Wii modes in general.
Really, as I told Joe a few weeks back, my ma in motivation in getting the Wii NOW is cause I wanted to have one before Mario Kart and Mario Galaxy game out. Since as bad as the Wii shortage is now, its gonna be even worse when those games come out during the freaking holidays. So this was a calculated decision even though i'm not expecting to get too many games in the meantime. Still, i really do enjoy Wii sports and will probably get another game or two soon.
I can definitely say that I'm enjoying the interface and that it has so much freaking potential it blows me away. Man, it just gonna take one freaking awesome sword game for that system to make me go NUTS.

PS. I turned my Wii off and the inside is now glowing blue.
Is it updating or like cycling or something?
Or is there a neutron bomb in it?
Its plugged in but not turned on.

You have s message! Whenever you're sent l, the slot glows. You can even set hiw bright in the options. On the Wii menu, click on the e- l-looking logo on the bottom-right. After a moment, whatever l you have for that day will be displayed in yellow envelopes, your Accomplishments (what you've played for how long, l you've sent, etc.) in a white envelope, and any memo notes you've made for yourself (like your dentist appointment on Friday) or photos sent to you as well. To exchange l, you'll need the other person's Wii code to be registered in your address book, and they'll need yours. Once their name is active (black, not grey), you can exchange l, photos, even Miis thru the Mii Channel! So, you need to fork over your Friend Code, and register me (u 2, Ass!!)! ps Goddamn Metroid Prime comes out the 28th!!1 Get it or suffer!

It's, um... It's not a demo. Just movies (pay close attention to the Aurora one, btw).

Yeah, I realized it wasn't a game, to my dismay.
Oh well. Back to reading the manual!!

I did see a few but honestly, its not really my thing. FPS's dont do it for me. Still, its cool they posted those vids for download for free. And the game did look good, just not something I'd see myself buying.
Hear anything about the Soul Caliber Legends for the Wii? The concept sounds interesting though its getting some bad reviews so far. I really have my eye out for sword games ;D

Well, I know it doesn't come out 'till November, so whatever you read is garbage. It looks cool, tho, and if Namco actually takes the time to do the game justice, it'll sell pretty well. Or not, seeing as tho it comes out around the same time as Brawl. ps Metroid is an adventure game, not an FPS! Damnit! :b

Metroid looked like an FPS or at least a first person perspective adventure game which just really doesnt do it for me. Too similar to FPS's, especially in that environment. I know im not giving it enough of a chance, but im making a guess here that I wouldnt like it all that much. Its probably going to be a really good game though but my gaming spider sense is telling me I just wont enjoy it very much. That sense is usually right.
I'm not a huge fan of the Soul Caliber series but im honestly jonesing so badly for a sword fighting game and this looks to be the closest thing at this point. And yeah, i know its more adventure then fighting but im sure there will be SOME one on one fights. I think there is SO much freaking money in either a totally unique and awesome sword fighting game or at LEAST a good to great licensed one.
Yanno what would rule? A Wii version of Bushido Blade.

Well, there's a Bleach game coming out soon, so that might be something to look out for. SCL might have some one-on-one stuff, but it seems very Dynasty Warriors-like, with your PC against tons of enemies. And that's fine with me, as long as the controls don't suck. There's also talk of new missions thru Wiiconnect24, which is fine and dandy with me. Mayhaps you should pick up Twilight Princess and the Hero Gear when it comes out. ^_^

The thing is, its not JUST a sword game I want, its one with some depth in its sword system. Zelda, as great as it is, isnt known for sword mastery (or insult sword fighting mastery). Im sure there are some combos but its still an adventure game. Which means ill just be swinging my sword the same way to dispatch of minor enemies. AND having to deal with puzzles i really dont want to deal with in a sword game. Minimally, I'd love an action/adventure game with "God of War" like levels of attack depth with weapons. Soul Caliber COULD meet that desire, its at least in the realm of possibility that it does. But it could turn out to be shallow as well and just mindlessly slashing through hordes of enemies. More to the point, I'd love a dedicated one on one game with either european fencing or samurai like style swordplay. IDEALLY, if I could get that with a Kenshin universe attached to it...
