Classic! And he looks sooooo happy, too! Cause he's thinking how many hot chicks (shown in the Wii ads) will be handling him

If I was him, I'd have flipped my costume upside down, and invited hot mamacitas to be the first in the line to try the Wii. "Why is the "A" button an "A" stick?"

I got Zelda over the weekend, and so far, I'm really happy with it. I'm only still in the first dungeon, at about 4-5 hours in. I don't know if that's a normal time frame, but I'm tryna take the game as slowly as I can. Hell, I've been waiting for this game for at least two years, I'm want to enjoy it. On a sidenote, playing as wolf Link also gave me a nice kick in the ass, and reminded me I still have lots of Okami to play, too.

Cool! Thanks for scratching the surface for us! I'm really interested to see how the latest Zelda turns out!
Speaking of which, of the few of you planning to purchase Zelda, are you going with the Wii version or the GCN one? I'm thinking that I'll go GCN.

I'm going GCN for noews, due to lack of Wii. I may still get it for Wii when I get one, though.

My brother has it for the Wii so I could play it there if I wanted too, but I really don't like the idea of using the Wiimote to control Link. I will still play it on the Wii, just as a GameCube game. Also, and this is a minor one but eh, I prefer Link to be left-handed.

Not out of any particular preference to one system or the other, but because I preordered that one first. If I put money down on something, I Goddamn well better get it.

Just my two cents, but using the Wii remote to control Link isn't that bad. From my limited experience, the motion sensing only really covers basic slashes (plus shaking the attachment thing for the spinning attack). Most of the more complicated stuff is mapped to the A button, along with other button presses. Like the jumping slash, and whatever else. Perhaps there are ways to do these attacks with the motion sensing, but I haven't played around with it that much.
Plus, there are "advanced techniques" that are mapped to the A button, as well (think Resident Evil 4 action commands, but more God of War-like). While we're on this subject, it's been a while since I played Wind Waker, or any other console Zelda, but I don't remember them being so violent, heh heh. For example, the first "advanced technique" you learn, just before going into the first dungeon, the Finishing Blow, that's like a brutal stab right through the abdomen/ heart, depending on the enemy. Hell, I used this on a giant spider, and stabbed it right through the skull. XD So, yeah, this game is pretty awesome.

Recent statement by Nintendo regarding the "rash" of Wiimote related hilarity seriousness! www.gamespot.com/news/6162853.html"Earlier this week, Nintendo spread the safety word to registered Wii users through e- ls about proper use of the Wii and its controller. The document contained the following bullet points: "Wear the wrist strap when using the Wii Remote," "Do not let go of the remote during game play," and "Allow adequate room around you during game play," along with common-sense statements like "...the [Wii Sports bowling] ball is thrown by simply releasing the B Button on the remote, not by letting go of the remote!" The Wii also offers several safety warnings when the console is booted up and before games are played."I guess Nintendo achieved their mission of getting MORE then just their regular fanbase to get the Wii. As it looks like a lot of potential PS3 buyers went for the Wii this time...

I wonder if they're pissed that they can't cook a steak on the Wii?

They want a combo Foreman grill/beer cooler and all the Wii lets them do is bowl! So they did the only thing a "reasonable" ape would do...throw the wiimote! = The equivalent of hurling their own feces at the screen!
In the article I posted, Gamespot said something kinda stupid though:
"All that secures the TV-remote-shaped controller to players' hands is the Wii strap, a standard loop of cloth attached to the base of the controller by a thin cord."
Um...no. I believe a player's GRIP also secures the Wiimote to a player's hand. Yanno...that same grip that has allowed generations of gamers to avoid projectile remote/controller fatalities. That same grip that has allowed generations of homo sapiens to use and hold TOOLS. That grip made possible by opposable thumbs and a MINIMUM of mental...oh shit, PS3 players really arent cut out for the Wii!! We must warn everyone!
*Sounds the Doomsday "think of the children" Horn*
