I just played some TvC, and... Well, I had no fucking idea what was going on. Playing it like a fighting game didn't work, so I tried playing it like it was TEKKEN (you know, smashing the controller with my forehead and seeing where that took me) and STILL no luck. So... yeah. No clue what the hell is going on with that game.
Did notice that nobody's mouth moves despite all the talking and shouting.
If you guys haven't yet, go play de Blob. It's freaking awesome. I started playing it after I beat Shadow Complex, and, I just love it. Hell, I was playing the third stage for, like, 95 minutes (!!!) and had fun the whole time. Well, except maybe the last 5 minutes or so (but, they required a lot of backtracking, so...) It's a really fun game, with a really simple concept and a challenge curve that increases gently by introducing a new enemy type every stage. So far, I haven't had any gameplay (aside from one of the extra challenge maps) that was at all frustrating. A definite pick-up.

LOL what kind of fighting game did you play it as?
While there are differences from it compared to the Marvel vs. games, it still fits pretty much in with them. You gotta play it rush down style with most characters though there are a few that have a very specific distance game (Doronjo) or have big projectile attacks (Saki).
While a lot of the new dynamics take some getting used to (Baroque combos especially), it really plays like a slightly slower Marvel vs. Capcom 2 with more cancelling and stuff. And wacky characters ;D

I got the Wii Classic Controller and at first glance, this thing looks pretty stupid. The controller throws out any familiarity I have with all controllers.
First, the controller is a little too small. This is probably because it is trying to be the same size as the NES controller. I am used to having all controllers that are big enough to fit into my palms.
Second, the controller has to be connected to the Wii remote. The Wii remote is wireless, why can't the classic controller be wireless too? I also tend to move around quite a bit when I play so dragging the Wii remote around with the classic controller might get pretty annoying.
There's also this thing about the wire coming out of the bottom of the controller that rubs me the wrong way. Other than those problems, the controller is pretty good. I used it on Tatsunoko vs Capcom and it's pretty nice.

Especially when you factor in: There's also this thing about the wire coming out of the bottom of the controller that rubs me the wrong way. Other than those problems, the controller is pretty good. I used it on Tatsunoko vs Capcom and it's pretty nice. I have to sit with this thing with the Wiimote on the left side of my hip with the wire and classic controller snaked under my left leg just to minimize the wire getting bunched up which happens a lot cause the wire comes out the bottom Moto recommended some doohickey last year that I tried but it didn't make it that much better cause the whole thing (it attached the Wiimote to the classic controller) became too heavy and off balanced. So I just try to deal with it as is but I'm always shifting around as a result. Anyway, I was playing Tatsunoko all night tonight and LOVING it. My username is "Orochi" and my Tatsunoko code is: 5199-3825-6214

Yeah and wow at how three games that are to make my year come out within a month of each other Red Dead Redemption, Super SF4 and Galaxy all within one month. Sigh - I wish i could get more then one month with a game without being distracted by another one. Also if any of you are playing Tatsunoko let me know. I'm still loving it

Easily the best year for Nintendo releases since 2007-2008 (Galaxy, Smash, Kart).
Just wish Nintendo was a bit better in spreading things out. 2008-2009 (up until New SMB Wii) were pretty barren from them aside from peripheral toys/games (Wii Fit/Wii Motion Plus).
Had Nintendo waited a bit with Smash and Mario Kart to spread them out a bit better over 2008-2009, I think it would have worked better for them and there wouldn't have been such a big drought for BIG games - which ended up really hurting their momentum IMO.
So I think it's kinda odd that Galaxy and Metroid are out so close to each other and then Zelda later that year. It will be a poor decision if they don't have anything big lined up for next year. But then again, since this appears to be a huge year for PS3/X360, I guess they really need to bring out the big dogs themselves after showing so little the last two years in actual gaming.
It's either a storm or the desert with them.

Plus, I figure within the next 2-3 years, Nintendo (and probably Microsoft) will start revealing info about their next consoles, so the focus will start shifting to the next generation.
Anyway, now that I know the releases for those games are so close, it's kind of lit a fire under my ass to finish SMG and MP3:C. I'm pretty close to done with SMG, but I haven't played MP3 in... man, gotta be over a year, by now.
