LOL sounds like a near identical experience to the one I had last night The toilet stuff was just damn funny. And honestly, the interactivity with the environment is the huge selling point to me. More games should be THIS interactive, they don't even need the violence. Just the fact that the environment matters so much in what you are doing. I do kinda wish there wasn't a time limit on the stages cause I hate time limits. I'd have been happier if the jobber enemies were a BIT harder to compensate for there being no time limit. But the time limit so far has been relatively forgiving though my big deal is that I get dreadfully lost in 3d games so I never know where to go and get anxious about that in conjunction with the time ticking. So I think I'm just gonna play this game with a guide for the plot points (where to go next) and enjoy the carnage ;D At first i was a bit overwhelmed at all the controls but the tutorial was good and I feel adept at the fighting system and the combos you can do. The things you pick up are a huge part of that and the finishers rule.

I can't get enough of the back breaker finisher (and not the back breaker y'all are thinking of... more of a SPINE breaker!) or the step on the chest and let fly with the chainsaw one either! Yeah, I've never been a fan of time limits in games, either, and I feel they really hurt Madworld. We have enough time limits in life as it is, I want to whup ass without having to watch the clock, godamnit! All of this ultra-violence brings me full circle back to Rockstar, and how PISSED I was with the dilution and super-censorship of Manhunt 2...

I beat "Tiny" or some shit (huge dude that throws a train car at you), and stopped there. The best part about this, and this goes back around to Bender being in the game, is the commentary during the intro scene. Little Eddie comes out on the train, and DiMaggio's character is all "Why the fuck do they call this guy 'little'? He's fuckin' HUGE!" and Proops replies, "I think it's supposed to be ironic." "What the fuck's irony?" "The use of words expressing something other than their literal intention. Now that is irony!" I couldn't help but get a laugh outta that. And if you need to ask why, then your brain must be made out of weapons-grade balonium. Now, just wait 'till you get to fight Jude the Dude.

Yeah, that irony conversation had me laughing pretty hard while I wasn't shitting my pants trying to figure out how I was going to mash this giant fucker up!

Before I realized it was Bender's voice doing it, I still thought of Bender when the irony conversation came up. I wonder if that was intentional due to Bender or just a coincidence As long as the time limit doesn't start to get too "snug" I can learn to deal with it but it really does stunt the game a bit and it also makes me more willing to just kill an enemy regularly then creatively. I'm such a grapple whore though, I pretty much never punch except an occasional uppercut. You can take the fan out of the KOC clutch but you can't take the KOC clutch out of the fan Apparently you also can't remove a sign post from an enemy's head ;D

I actually forgot I could punch for quite a bit of the first part of the game because I was constantly grappling! ;D

I'm such a grapple mark that I forgot there was a CHAINSAW for the entire train part until the last boss ;D
I did the same thing in No More Heroes. Yeah we have sword but I want to SOOPLEX PEOPLES ;D
Also I only use my punching if I'm getting attacked by a swarm of people. Then I punch to clear out and grapple for the victory. I should really become more well rounded though cause most bosses dont allow you to throw them so I'm kinda at a loss when I get up to them after grappling everyone else.

OT (from the all important Madworld discussion...) : The arcade version of Tecmo Bowl is available on the Virtual Console for those interested in such rot.
Now back to MADWORLD!

Agreed. While there's certainly a bit of "fan service" in the character models, this game is not meant as a hentai game. It's supposed to stand out on its overall awesome art, smooth gameplay/fights and story. I think it's a disservice to the game to do this before it comes out and many people aren't up on what it is. It's not like hot Cammy or Chun Li pics cause people already know by now what Street Fighter is. Muramasa is still a mystery (or flat out unknown) to the mass market and if they see it in this light first, this may color their impression and its just not an accurate portrayal of the game.

Isn't that picture pretty much supposed to be a recreation of a real painting though?
