I tried out Punch Out at Gamestop, and was mightily impressed with it.
took out Glass Joe with few issues, as expected, and then jumped up to Don Flamenco. that was a mistake, he punked me two times in a row. stupid super-delayed Flamenco Punch...
the demo had everyone up to whoever the second guy in the fourth circuit was. I know that Bald Bull was the silhouette just after is, and I was pissed I couldn't get jobbed out by the original Critical! causing move...

I was kinda upset when they took Punch-Out!! out of our demo system for Wii Sports Resort, just because I wanted to be able to unlock the super-special-secret opponent. Ah, well. Maybe I'll actually buy the damn game?

Played 2-3 hours of Tales of Monkey Island and am really enjoying it so far Very good tutorial - and the controls are extremely intuitive and easy to learn but there are some times where they are a little too precise on the inventory screen and i end up clicking the wrong place and going back to the ma in screen. Not a huge deal, just a small annoyance. I think I like these controls with the analog stick better then the PC controls with the keyboard for movement. Also like the sound level adjustment for music/voice/sound effects. First part of the game was fun - I got tripped up on stuff by doing them in a weird order causing me to forget a few things, and also not realizing something was on the screen that was kinda small. Once i figured that out though it was clear. There's a great map puzzle too that is similar to the one from MI 1 but sound-based. Humor is top-notch for the most part, there are a few cheesy things that kind of make light of modern day stuff that is gonna feel really dated in a few years (like a youtube reference) but there are also some great references to earlier games and some lines that made me legit LOL. The best part by far is a little action figure-related puzzle/dialog which could very well be the highlight of the first episode and I'm only halfway through it. That was really hilarious to me. So yeah, I didn't want to blow through it all in one night - wanted to leave some for tomorrow and maybe the weekend to savor. So far though - really having fun with it. The graphics may not be to everyone's liking but honestly it's not a huge deal for me. Music sounds good. A little bit of slowdown at times but rare. And there is some loading times between screens. I can see some people not having the patience for it but if you are an MI/graphic adventure fan, you should check this out

Wow - Wii Sports Resort - a lot of fun to be had I played the kendo/swordplay for a few hours. Was breezing through the regular circuit then started getting into trouble in Pro. Gonna let my arm rest up a bit til I go back to that. Speed slice is really fun as is the "you vs. everyone" mode. I gotta say - if someone took the base of this game, added a little, and turned it into it's own game it would be awesome. I definitely like the potential of Wii Motion Plus based on the sword play here Archery is incredible - I think that will end up being my second favorite on the game. Frisbee is more fun then a lot of the reviews give it credit for. Had some fun with golf too - I never played it much in the original so it's hard to know how much of it was improved but it's pretty deep. I was expecting to like Ping Pong a lot more then I did but it didn't feel deep enough to keep my attention. It's probably fun playing another person but I was hitting crazy angle shots from the start so it just feels the learning curve is too small. For that matter, 3 point shooting was fun but I did too well right away - would have liked it a bit more challenging. The 3 on 3 is pretty cool though. Have yet to really delve into water sports (...) but I did try the wakeboarding and canoe'ing and wasn't that impressed. I want to try the aerial stuff too - i really liked the intro for the game.

Once you start doing flyovers of the island, you'll really see the potential for a new StarFox game, I'm sure. Especially if you get the chance to play with someone in the Dogfight mode. Wakeboarding is okay, but basic, and canoeing is... Well, canoeing is generally boring and tiresome work anyway. The Jet ski looks fun, but I can't try it at work cuz the damn nunchuck is broken.

Mad World: Violent game is VIOLENT. But damn, this is fun to play. The interaction with the environment is one of the best i've seen in any game I can remember. And best of all, I haven't gotten overwhelmingly nauseas yet! Ok, well a little dizzy but not too bad. still, I can see how others had that effect. Greg Proops for game commentator of the year ;D I haven't played too many recent games where I've actually wanted to go back to the first board to do even more. I think that's a good sign of super replayability here, at least so far

Cool, I was just going to post here and ask if anyone that has tried it thinks Madworld would be worth picking up for $20.00. Well?...

Holy Goose, yes. $20 is a steal for this game. I still would have personal misgivings about getting it for $50 just cause 1) my crazy backload and 2) I feel that price point demands full attention whereas $20 doesn't necessarily do that. (Even though every other game I've bought over the last few years that has been $20 has been big time - like FPR NA, KOF XI, and NGBC) but I feel like with $20 you can play it with low pressure. Still, i have a feeling you're gonna love this game. The things you can do in it would make Bak Fu a happy man Provided he would enjoy suplexing people into toilets, spiked walls, and trains

I don't think Bak Fu would enjoy any of that.

I miss Bak Fu. I wish he was in a video game. Wait a minute...
I picked the game up, I'll give it a go tonight. If I don't get to suplex anyone into a toilet, I'll be PISSED!

I miss Bak Fu. I wish he was in a video game. Wait a minute... He's wrestling at the next Battalion show I picked the game up, I'll give it a go tonight. If I don't get to suplex anyone into a toilet, I'll be PISSED! Second stage - well, technically the FIRST stage but it's broken up into tutorial and then the train area. You can go into the train bathroom and suplex/shove people into toilets ;D

But make sure you save the swirlies for last. They're some super powerful toilets. And since Geese'd make mention of Greg Proops doing commentary, did you notice who the other guy was? If not, here's a clue: Seriously, best commentary ever. And I'm a huge fan of the NFL 2K series commentators.

I totally didn't realize that was Bender's voice ;D
The commentary is hilarious - i like when you underperform and they say something like "Jack is a girl in man's clothing" or "Jack's arm is tired" or something like that ;D
The "getting head" joke at the end of the first section ruled ;D

So yeah, Madworld... Wow.
Asshole in a can -> sign through the head -> Rosebush combo = pure awesomeness!
I'm really fond of the "human garbage" bins. Also, using speeding subway trains as corpse-grinders is pretty fun. I think I almost broke my nunchuck snapping a dude's neck, which would have been totally worth it!
I beat "Tiny" or some shit (huge dude that throws a train car at you), and stopped there. This was a bargain, and ended up being 30% off of the $20 I thought it was going to be!!!
EDIT: Oh yeah, I almost forgot! I totally dunked two dudes into the toilet head first! YES!
