The Mii Bobblehead is awesome, too. The picture you sent me of that a while back WAS pretty cool! I picked up MP3 for cheap, too, but I don't have the time to start it up just yet...

So, I f'ed around with Tenchu for the Wii last night. Lets get this out of the way right off the bat, THERE'S NO GRAPPLING HOOK OR ROOF WALKING IN THIS GAME. It's kind of weird at first, and by weird, it feels less like you're a ninja, and more like some kind of sexual predator lurking in shrubs and in the shadows next to walls, but once you start to get used to it, it throws the idea of ninja-ing in a different direction. If you're a long time fan of the series like I am, this game takes a lot of getting used to, and in the little time I spent on it last night, I feel like I started to get the hang of it.
The approach to gameplay feels more like a Zak and Wiki action puzzle game than the traditional Tenchu you might be used to, but somehow it works, and as cool as Zak and Wiki is (did I really just type that?), you didn't get to hang from rafters and snap hapless guards' necks in that game! The cool thing about this game for me at this early stage is that I was expecting Tenchu, and what I found instead was an experience similar to the first time I played the original Tenchu, a totally new game with lots of cool new ideas and the ability to fuck over mediaeval Japanese characters like no other game before has offered!
The "Hissatsu", or stealth kills that we all love so much are in the game, and are done really well! Different waggles of the nunchuck along with button presses result in different kills, and I love the emphasis on weaponless kills. Your dude does finish opponents with swords, but they're typically ones that you strip from your enemy, adding insult to (fatal) injury. Also, your victims have a chance to fend off your kills if you don't time your waggles properly (which is really tough to do...), so that's kind of a cool addition.
I can't really advise any of you to rush out and get this game, especially if you're expecting Tenchu proper (i.e. the same formula the game has used since the first one released on the PS1), but I can say you'd be missing out on a pretty innovative experience set in the realm built in the previous Tenchu games!

I told the lady if she gets me anything for V-Day it's this. Nothing says I love you like snapping some fucking necks!

I shoulda posted this yesterday, because it's no longer in effect, but yesterday, Amazon was offering a Madworld pre-order for ten bucks off ($39.99). Needless to say, I ordered. It's back to normal price, now, though.

I want this for one reason and one reason only - The wire port is on the TOP not on the f'n bottom like the old classic controller. You have no idea how much I hate that original design, it always gets in my way!! It's the most awkward wire I've ever had to deal with and it actually stops me from playing Wii as often cause I have to contort the wire under my leg and it just gets messy. I could probably deal with it better if I didn't have to connect it to the Wiimote and I have nowhere to put the Wiimote when I'm using the classic controller. Odd design, Nintendo. I will definitely be buying this as long as the wire port stays on top

I've never found the wire to be in the way to be honest. But something that's always buged me, what the hell does that button on the top of the controller do? It opens up the two slits in the back but what for? Also I've been loving Tenchu. I miss my grapple hook -> drop poison rice -> stealth kill -> repeat as much as the next guy but fuck this game makes you think harder to kill these clowns. The fact that the ninja's don't come up on your ninja vision (the Z button zooming) and the big armored guys hear everything makes it that much more challenging. Oh and I got to use my ninja cat to fetch things for me tonight. I'll warn you though if it happens to step on a bomb it goes boom!

Geese, I bought the Nyko Controller Grip for my Classic Controller. It's really nice, and keeps everything tidy. Plus, the weight of the Wiimote + the Classic actually feels like a REAL controller.

Hrmm...that looks kinda unwieldy and appears to really twist the wire badly.
But you say it no longer gets in the way and doesn't feel awkward?
Maybe it's worth a try.

Honestly, I've used it since I first got the Wii and haven't had a problem. It's a bit tricky the first time you use it, but there's a clip that keeps the Wiimote locked into the bottom of the Classic Controller assembly, and the clip also keeps the Classic Controller's cord kept up around it. It's pretty slick.

Damn, dude, I forgot that MadWorld comes out Tuesday. Granted, I already pre--ordered my copy off of Amazon, but I chose the free shipping, so I won't get it for, like, another week after that... But still. I also got some Best Buy gift cards that will pretty much pay for RE5 next Friday; I just hope it doesn't sell out too quickly... I'm working an afternoon/ evening shift that day, so I'll probably get to Best Buy at about 1PM-ish... They should still have some copies left, right? Right?! *forgot this is the "Wii games" topic... ah well, the MadWorld bit still fits in here*

Forget about RE5 and Madworld. All you need are a couple of friends and LEFT 4 DEAD... ;D
PS: What's a "Madworld"?
