Yanno what? I'm going to retract my previous statement about how stupid news media is for beliving that this actually happened. Cuz that was a dumb statement to make. Of course the news media is supposed to believe it actually happened; everybody is, because that's what wrestling is supposed to make you think.
It's fucking brilliant. Too bad that PA newspaper had to go and kill it by intricately detailing how they pulled the stunt off. Fuckin' haters.

3 points to Spunk for the 'FPC won't get it' call.
It's not even criticism. It's opinionism. I word which I have invented.
Everyone on the PLANET knows it's fake. So either PLAY ALONG and ENJOY or shut the FUCK UP.

I wish more of you posted or read DVDVR to see the INSANE opinions, like how having a 10 bell salute for Mr. McMahon disgraces the dead.

It's no more disgraceful than having Eddie Guerrero still being mentioned on TV, and since they still mention El Santo, I don't see how it can be a disgrace. Plus, Isn't that something they can do in order to, yanno, play up the angle? Make us think it's real? Hell, I read the ECW report saying that Tazz and Joey Styles were pissed off at how the crowd was booing during the 10 Bell Salute. For something that took a lot of people by surprise, they're sure doing a good job playing this out from the sounds of it.

If reading the FPC is bad, reading DVDVR is akin to hitting yourself in the head with a hammer in hopes of making yourself retarded. And I am so fuckign there to read it.

DVDVR isn't as bad, simply because the ratio of sensible people to idiots is slightly better than FPC.
EDIT: Ok, the ratio may actually be worse, but it seems better because the sheer number is greater.

Isn't that something they can do in order to, yanno, play up the angle? Make us think it's real? No. They stopped trying to make anyone think it's real- back when they said: "it's not real, it's entertainment." They know they're not actually fooling anyone. ANYONE. They pretty much said out loud: This is fake, but let's all enjoy. wink wink. That plan works with fans in japan IMO, as fans go to be entertained and they respect it as such. Except in the old US- everyone acts like the wrestling world is always trying to put on over on us, but we're to smart to buy into THAT kind of crap... "Like I believe that outrageous sort of thing. It's TOTALLY fake, you could see the wires. It's completely unbelievable. I could write better angles myself. They expect me to believe this is real?" (LIKE ANYONE IN THE WORLD HAS NOT HEARD 'THE BIG SECRET OF PRO WRESTLING') It's like the same type of people who 'love movies' but can't actually sit down and watch a movie without picking it apart. -or they only like 'foreign' or 'indy' films. The movie geek to wrestling geek parallels are almost if not 100% match. Being sarcastic and hyper-critical is a way of life for some people and it makes me want to kill them. Maybe that's the draw of the FP series to some people in a subconscious way. The whole CRITICAL aspect in the game....

So, with Sherri Martel dying, people are for some reason pissed at the WWE. Because one of their characters "died" about a week before a real person died. Good god, has everyone gone insane?
Hell, even if they'd done it after Sherri Martel died, I wouldn't call it "tasteless". Because, after all, VINCENT KENNEDY MCMAHON, JUNIOR DIED, not "Scary Un-Dead" Sherri. Fucking retards. If these assclowns found a fake character being killed before an real character died in her sleep, I wonder how they'd have felt seeing the Freebirds making fun of Eddie Grahm's suicide. Or any of the crap Fritz Von Erich did while running WCCW.
Someone needs to tell wrasslin' fans to STFU and remember that it's just a fucking television show.
Or, just start punching them in the face.
Please.

Yeah, it's weird how wrestling retards wanna get all morally outraged about everything... I think the majority of them are ashamed that they watch, so they try to think of themselves as above it or somethin'...
It'd be like somebody that watched 24 getting all, "REAL soldiers just died, and they "kill" Jack Bauer?! You know they're gonna bring him back next week... this makes me sick to my stomach... blahblahbleebloo".

I completely agree. It honestly SCARES me how many people are unable to seperate the real world from the world of fiction. The fact that so many non fan critics have always ragged on wrestling as being "fake" and yet don't seem to grasp the fact that Vince McMahon is not dead is really atrocious. The fact these people can't even be consistent in their criticisms. So I guess wrestling isn't "fake" anymore now? And the fact that so many actual fans...people who we'd THINK would be used to oh i dunno...outlandish FICTIONAL STORYLINES (Mae Young's baby "hand" for example...) who are up in arms about this. The 24 analogy is perfect. How many fictional characters die in one episode of that show, not to mention on tv in general. Yeah, death SUCKS...REAL death to REAL people. "Mr. McMahon" is no more real then Doink the clown or "Hunter Hearst Helmsley". Or for that matter, "Blade" or "Superman" or "Darth Vader". I understand people not being entertained by the story...but those who are treating this any different then the Undertaker dying/resurrecting cycles are just missing the point. Its fiction...just like whatever movie those same wrestling critics probably saw this past weekend. I don't hear any "OMG BUT VENOM DIED...THATS SO IMMORAL! LET's PROTEST!" stories like I'm hearing the "Mr. McMahon" stuff. I take my fair share of shots at WWE but really...this is a situation where they are being unfairly taken to task. Was the story the single greatest entertaining thing ever to me? No. Was it cause for outrage? LOL...I just can't wait til the "hauntings" begin ;D Paul London will be the first victim! P.S. I think the whole reason for the outrage is a combination of wrestling always taking flack cause most people really don't understand it's "sports entertainment" approach AND the fact that the world is so fucked up now that people are literally grasping at straws to place blame for EVERYTHING. So somehow WWE is now retroactively responsible for EVERY bad thing that's ever happened to everyone because of the Vince asplosion. Vince knows how to get heat

The fact these people can't even be consistent in their criticisms. So I guess wrestling isn't "fake" anymore now? Yanno, just about every wrestler ever talks about this. "Oh, your husband is a wrestler? Isn't that fake?" turns into "Oh, didn't you see your husband on TV kissing that blonde girl? He's cheating on you!" People're dumb, they do and say dumb things, and will never stop being dumb. I vote we shoot them all into sun. LOL...I just can't wait til the "hauntings" begin ;D Paul London will be the first victim! Poor Paul London. How dare he stay in character during a segment with a bunch of people being in character. DAMN HIM TO HELL!

The whole "fake wrestling" thing is such a double standard in these cases, its just unbelievable. People need to learn they can't have it both ways. It can't be "fake" AND real at the same time. Sorry. I mean I've already ranted about how much I even hate the word "fake" in description for pro wrestling. Its scripted entertainment, no different then "House" or "Return of the Jedi" or any other work of living people putting on ffictional entertainment. The people are real, the characters/stories are fictional. But if people are gonna go out of their way to make it seem pro wrestling is EXTRA "not real" in comparison to other fiction, so much so thats its some kind of mystical "fake" universe (an alternate dimension?) then its just disgusting when they turn around and start saying the shit is REAL now!! Either Vince McMahon is alive now and John Cena doesn't really hate his three opponents from the previous Raw ma in event....or Vince is DEAD and Cena REALLY wants to protect his title through actual non-scripted/staged "shoot" violence. Either/or here. I'll go with the former choice, thank you. P.S. They totally have to make Paul London the killer here so he can go on a colossal heel run the likes of which we've never seen before in pro wrestling. He'll be the "smiling assassin".

Sadly, they'll probably make London be he which dunnit. I just hope they won't drop the ball on his heel run like they did with that guy that ran down Austin. What was his name? Oh, yeah; Rikishi.
When I try to explain to someone that wrestling is fiction just like "Friends" or "24" or whatever, they always try to counter with "But those shows don't try to tell me they're real," which always gets a quick cross-counter of "No, but they still want you to suspend your disbelief and pretend it is," and then it just degrades from there. You just can't tell some people anything.
It's the same thing as the "video games are retarded" arguement. "It's interactive media; I get to do what I want to progress the story," "Well, why not just sit back and enjoy the story anyway? Or read a book?" "Because if I want to kill the guy telling me what to do in a video game, I typically can," "I'M TELLIN' MOM!"
