Yikes, yeah, I read something about this yesterday but wasn't sure how legit it was. Hope the guy is ok and that the NJPW Title situation didn't cause his brain to asplode

Well, at least Nakamura is the one-and-only IWGP Heavyweight Champion now.

When? When will he be wrestling? It's not a PPV is it? I'd watch iMPACT for Doug Williams.

The World X-Cup starts after Slammiversary, so the tapings on the 9th of June would be the start of the series. So, June 12th.

Honestly, the game is likely a mess I had been following the previews to it and Midway has treated it more like a fighting game then a wrestling game. They are trying to reinvent the genre with ideas that already have existed. Some of their interviews have been borderline insane with the redundant things they have said. Pretty much like "This game has gameplay". I'm not sure if you're aware of who SonnyBone is but he's an FPW community member who has been posting and commenting on a lot of the TNA game interviews. You should check out his blog to get the idea of what this TNA game is gonna be like- sonnybone.blogspot.com/

After seeing video reviews and reading non-video reviews (the barbarians), plus getting some customer feedback, all I can really say about TNA iMPACT! is that it seems to've been a really good first shot. I mean, hell, who all here didn't like WCW vs The World? But that came out to be WWF No MERCY, which all of us that matter love to death. I think, given a couple years and some direction, that the iMPACT! series (or, whatever they decide to call the series (I hope they'll use a different naming scheme instead of calling it iMPACT! 2 or somesuch)) will end up being, at the very least, a decent wrestling game. They've just got to, you know, get their heads outta their asses.

I hope you're right. Some companies have decent first shots and never evolve past it. Others just fizzle. I saw a commercial for the game tonight and was just kinda shocked at how silly it was. AJ Styles and Kurt Angle in a video game store fighting each other. What was truly sad was that the commercial started out with two teens looking at a shelf and saying: "Cool, a TNA Game" I swear...SWEAR that the wrestling promotion wasn't the first thing to come to my mind when I heard TNA. Whether that speaks for my own issues or TNA's lack of notice...i'll let others decide (prob some of both ;D)

Well, it's a silly name and they thought about changing it before they got on Spike. And I think they did that same kind of commercial for one of the old WCW games.

I seem to remember Macho dropping the elbow off some sort of shelf in said commercial.
