So, okay. Kip James vs Jeff Jarrett is/was the n event. The fuck? And, is it really necessary for Kip James and BG James to recite the same shtick that we all kinda got bored with six years ago? Oh, yeah. They do. Because most wrestling fans are total idiots and still get amused by "LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, BOYS AND GIRLS, GENTLEMAN OF ALL AGES"... And yet they wonder why people hate X-Pac. ¬_¬ So, does someone want to explain why Jeff Jarrett is alligned with a bunch of dirty Canadians? Or... really, anything that's going on? I mean, I watch this stuff, and I don't know why half of this stuff is happening. [joedit:] This thread is hereby OFFICIALIZED!

I didn't watch it 'cause I was sick... but I have a few observations to make:
- Jarrett and the Canadians are aligned 'cause Jarrett made the deal with D'Amore to screw Raven in Canada... And besides that, they're just heels. Heels align, that's what they do (points to Masters/Carlito tag).
- Can't argue with the NAO stuff. Didn't do much for me back then, either.
- I don't care if it makes sense or not, as long as I get a little Abyss, a little Joe, and a little POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUNCE-AH!
Period.

Yeah. All Monty Brown does any more is squash jobbers in 20 seconds. The guy he was up against this week was wearing the fucking worst outfit I've ever seen. I think he was trying to look like a fucking satyr or some shit.

Well, I think they're just trying to protect him... he has some crisp looking suplexes and stuff, but I still think he's a little green to be consistently working 15-20 minute n events. That's why I'm not too bothered with them having him work with Christian instead of putting him against Jarrett right away.

"Right away"? Shit, man. Monty's had his shot at Jarrett before, months ago on iMPACT! even, but Jarrett is so shitty that the entire match was just jacked up.

Samoa Joe for Prime Minister. Period. The REAL reason Jeff Jaret signed on with the soulless, heathen Canadians is because if you're REALLY EVIL, you should seriously consider aligning yourself with dirty, commie-pinko, Kraft dinner eating, great beer drinking, seal clubbing Canadians. I wonder what a seal clubbed with an acoustic guitar would look like on the snow? As for Mr. Ass and Mr. Ass Hat... Do you really need to ask why they've resurected that shit? It's all they've got, mang. Oh you didn't know? I wish Konnan would put his mask back on...

I'd be fine watching a "Samoa Joe Gauntlet match," Where he basically just goes through the entire TNA roster throwing and kicking the shit out of suckers. Culminating in him working Daniels in a very nice 20-30 minute match. Seriously, how would Samoa Joe beating the ENTIRE roster be any less entertaining then Mr. Ass, Konnan, etc? Exactly. All I can say is that even though i know iMPACT is on Saturdays, and a good amount of the time I'm home by the time it's on, i never remember to watch it. I can't think of any other shows I'm really intereted in that i FORGET to watch repeatedly. There's gotta be a reason i don't remember...and it's not my memory. Or is it? I forget, oh well

It's also on at like, midnight on Monday. ... I think. I don't think it's on at 11, since RAW is still on then.

Yeah. That was totally unnessicary. Just like anything involving Billy Gunn.
I mean, Kip James.
Bitch.
No, I mean, Monty Kipp Sopp.
...
Let's all point and laugh at him for having a stupid name. XD
But, yeah. 4LK. All that means is that now we'll get to listen to Billy Gunn try to rap. Whee.

Anybody want to explain to me how Sting coming to TNA is going to change the face of the promotion?
Also, how does a guy showing up and standing at the entrance way = sending a message? To me, especially when it comes to pro wres, when a guy has a baseball bat, the only message that can be sent involves beating people with said bat. Not just standing there with it.
Goddamn, pro wrestling companies are stupid sometime. I seriously hope they're not paying Sting as much as rumor says they are (which is six digits).

I've got NO PROBLEMS with them bringing in new people, and old faces that used to be big names.
But, if what we read on the internet is even partially true this time about, Sting is going to be made into a BIG PART of TNA, and will be made into their franchise player - like Triple H or Steve Austin is to the WWE.
BUT!
How long has it been since Sting was in a ring? He did a few appearances for TNA a few years back - in the "weekly PPV" era...
This brings up soooo many questions - like, you have this WWE wrestler who said, "Screw this" and took off for TNA - a man who's been on TV weekly for the past EIGHT YEARS, and instead of sucking it up for a guaranteed contract, he says, "I like to wrestle, but let's go do it here now." But instead you hire a guy who's been all non-committal to the WWE for the past four years, who's done a HANDFUL of matches in those four years that've made television, and you're going to make this guy the face of your promotion?
Now, admittedly, if I were booking TNA, I'd throw those Sting monies in the direction of the K Office, bringing Kenskay and Nakajimmy to the states for some matches (Kensuke Sasaki v. Samoa Joe, Katsuhiko Nakajima v. AJ Styles - BOOK THAT SHIT!) but, I'm a dork like that. Ring of Honor has shown that American companies can book Japanese talent, and with the right opponent (read: Samoa Joe), and a decent build (a la, TNA's Jyushin Lyger appearance), and the match can be sold as a "Dream Match" (a la, CIMA v. AJ Styles; JoeBashi)...
They're using a LOT of money to sign Sting to any sort of deal - and that's not a good thing. That's cutting their revenues by a good chunk, because it's going to Sting, a man that MIGHT be able to spike buyrates. If he can still go, all the better!
I hope TNA gets their monies worth with Sting, because, from the outside looking in, it just looks like they're bringing in new people hoping one of them will draw, and not focusing on developing the people they HAVE - Terry Taylor, Shane Douglas, Larry Zybysko, and the entire tape library of Mike Tenay at their disposal, and NOBODY in the X-Division (exceptions: Daniels, Christopher; Joe, Samoa) can develop a personality?
I dunno. TNA is trying to push itself as the alternative, and for the most part, they're doing it well - the WWE is taking notice, look at ByteThis recaps - somehow, somebody slipped a question about TNA to Todd "Who's Justin Lyger?" Grisham, and he spoke VERY eloquently about them, so, there are people in Stanford paying attention.
But, how in the HELL are you going to do it when you're just bringing in old WCW stars and neglecting developing the division that really DEFINES the company?

So, watching iMPACT! from Christmas Eve, and I gotta say that the opening promo was great. Christian [Cage] recieving presents from Santa and his little helper, Traci, dressing up like a really bad Jeff Jarrett (white jeans, old Jarrett WWF shirt, wig, and glasses, plus a ukulele for effect) was awesome. ... Also, is it just me, or is Christian getting chubby?

I liked Chris Sabin v. Abyss from the Christmas eve show - but, after sitting through an ENTIRE TNA "Best of the X-Division" DVD, I've come to two conclusions:
1.) Ultimate X matches are ass.
2.) Chris Sabin is criminally bitched around.
I mean it, dude. Sabin oughta be like, one of the TOP TIER X-Division players, because when he's in a match, it actually seems to be more than "let's do a bunch of REALLY CRAZY LOOKING MOVES!" - the match seems to have a more solid backing, they're building to something.
I'll write more about the DVD in a few days or so - just need to get my head clear from all this egg nog and ham...
(HAPPY BELATED BOXING DAY JON!!!)

Sabin is good, and yeah, criminally bitched around. I think TNA's n problem is trying to do too much in little time. For one, I think having six PPVs a year would be smarter, because then they could build things up more for their PPVs. Four hours to build up to a three-hour show =\= good. Maybe if TNA gets a two-hour show, it'd be better. But, as it stands? They're trying to stuff ten hours of build-up into four, and it's just bad. Especially when most if it is Jarrett wanting to make sure that everyone is on their side. GODDAMN, THIS NEEDS TO BUILD UP TO ABYSS AND MONTY BROWN TURNING ON JARRETT!!!!.
