Not in Canukistan... The CRTC is likely scanning the disk for the threshold level of Canadian content. If Petey Williams is on there, the DVD might make it up here just after the big thaw.

ALLEGEDLY - The "Best of Christopher Daniels" DVD set is available in stores now. I say "allegedly" because I've yet to see it at Wal-Mart or any of the usual suspects when it comes to wrasslin' DVDs.
As for the Best of Samoa Joe, I BELIEVE Ring of Honor's website (www.rohwrestling.com) will have their version of the "Best of Samoa Joe" - and TNA's will release sometime in the time frame of late spring-mid summer.
...I want the Christopher Daniels one, but I can't quite explain why...

I've seen the Chris Daniels DVD in FYE and Wal-Mart.
Didn't know they were even workin' on a Joe DVD.
But, I've got the first Best of Joe DVD from RoH, "ROH World Champion". They have a second volume, "The Champ is Here", which features title defenses from 2004, which I may or may not pick up before I finish watching volume 1 (I've also got the Best of Generation Next, "Our Time is Now". lawl @ cena).
ROH has two Best of Daniels DVDs; "The Prophecy Foretold" and "Say Your Prayers".

I've heard RoH Best Of's are the exact opposite, showcasing some of the weaker matches, forcing you to buy the shows for the good stuff. Or at least that's what I heard about the Punk ones.

Or at least that's what I heard about the Punk ones. ...that's a rather unique business strategy. But what if I don't WANT to sit through a Christopher Street Connection match, Roderick Strong and Austin Aries genericking it up, and seventeen THOUSAND "LET'S GO X! LET'S GO Y!" chants? I just want a fucking Samoa Joe match. But, even I have to admit... that's pretty f'n smart.

Hey. Roderick Strong is awesomeness. But, let's face it; the world is so full of hybrid wrestlers nowadays that it's hard to find anything else beside your equally-generic big scary 7-foot-tall monster wrestlers. For every William Regal, there's a hundred Jack Evans and Nigel McGuinness..es...i. McGuinnei? Whatever. For every Kurt Angle, there's a bajillion Jeff Hardys. And for every Jeff Hardy, there's a fuckton of Jack Evans and Matt Sydals. Strong at least has unique offense. AND THE LIONTAMER!!!1

So... Is Christian Cage as NWA World Heavyweight Champion a good thing, or a bad thing? DISCUSS. Too soon to tell - he's a guy that a lot of people were saying NEEDED to be champion in the WWEff, but while he's always been dependable, he's never really been SUPERCRAZYOVER like he is in TNA. Or, maybe he is, but it's more noticible in the Orlando soundstage. As far as whether or not it's a good thing, it's going to take a few points: Quality opponents (my picks? JJ rematch, Abyss, Monty Brown - w/ Christian losing to Monty Brown), good matches (JJ isn't a slouch, but he's a tired champion, Abyss isn't bad, and Monty can deliver with a good wrestler helping things along), and TV time! Jarrett's not the champion, no more 15 minute segments on Impact! So, yeah.

I do disagree with the SUPERCRAZYOVER comment. From the end of '04, all the way until about August, Christian was getting massive crowd pops and insane reactions - especially when they were in England. They had him out in the ring three times during that RAW, and even when he was resorting to cheap heel heat by putting down England and World Heavyweight Champion Batista, the crowd was still cheering him and whatnot. Then, of course, they drafted him to SmackDOWN! where even though he was jobbing constantly and getting little mic time, the crowd was still in love with him. I do think, too, that the smaller crowds in Orlando can attribute to it, too. A smaller crowd seems to allow a larger group reaction, for whatever reason. Monty Brown will be NWA World Heavyweight Champion, I do believe, but not at Destination X. If anyone, I think it will be Sting that takes the title away from Christian. Jarrett seems to be moving on for a short period of time, to deal with the Deadlyz and Rhino, so that will hopefully open up decent n event spots for Abyss, Monty, Sting, etc. Maybe we'll even see Joe vs Christian? Sadly, I don't expect the 15-minute Storytime with Unca J to be done any time soon. Someone in Orlando is seeing the ratings that TNA is drawing and somehow thinking that Unca J is responsable, and letting him know that. Plus, will we ever really get bored of hearing Jeff Jarrett start up his once-a-month "What's the deal, Tenay? You're the Professor; you know what's going on here! Who's my opponent at the Pay-Per-View, Tenay? Who's it gonna be?!" speil? ¬_¬ I would like to point out, however, that the smartest thing Jeff Jarrett ever did was try to get Spike to give them 90 minutes on their new prime time slot. Sadly, they didn't, but at least he tried. Right?
