Other way around then... I just remember it was creepy to read. I wondered if I got that right last night...

It was a real hard read, yeah. I remember not being able to continue reading it at some times, just because of how damn eerie it was. Still a damn good read.

Wow... Two years today. Somehow it seems a lot longer than that to me. Brutal. I was flipping through the Jericho book a couple of days ago and saw a pic of Jericho with Malenko, Benoit, Eddy, and some skinny douchebag, and remembered how stoked I was to see all of those guys (excluding the skinny douchebag) show up around Christmas time on RAW. I need to go check out my Eddy DVD and enjoy some old matches

I checked out Eddy and Benoit for the US title on Eddy's DVD. I forgot the pace those two used to push, that was a pretty sick match! I also watched the Art Barr/Eddy vs Octagon/Santo match, I love that one! Good times!

JR said on his blog that it was really good. So... there's that. I didn't even know it was out yet, either.

K, so I picked this up on spec, and in my opinion, the first disk alone is worth the price of admission. I forget a lot these days why I used to like pro wrestling so much, the stuff now is so fucking pathetic and lost, then I watch some of the amazing shit in this collection, and I recover that old feeling of excitement that I used to get back in the day!
Some of the matches include shit with Ohtani Shinjiro, Dean Malenko (LOTS of Dean Malenko), Ultimo Dragon, Chris Jericho (back when he ROCKED), some hot shit with Rey (when he ROCKED...), and some other smooth shit. The third disk is pretty current, and kind of lame in some instances, but the cage match with JBL is actually really good by WWE standards. The collection isn't full of documentary style shit, it's mostly just matches, and LOTS of them!
I don't fucking care what anyone thinks, but the omission of Benoit matches and even the mention of his name left a gaping hole in what is otherwise a GREAT collection of matches. There's just too much history between those two to have excluded what are likely some of the best North American pro wrestling matches ever put together. Fuck WWE for the "Benoit who?" policy, but otherwise, this is a great purchase if you're an Eddy fan, or if you've just forgotten what made pro wrestling such a blast to watch!

I picked it up a couple days ago, just haven't watched it. I know the Rey set they put out had some really good old WCW stuff (including some hilarious Jericho stuff), so I have some hopes for this one. Yeah, I know the Ben-NOT stuff is getting tiresome, but, it's Eddy, man.
