That was certainly sobering to hear, completely out of nowhere. I can't believe Eddie died, man. Thank you, Eddie Guerrero, for all the memories.

Un-fucking-believable. I feel like I'm going to puke... Thanks for posting this, Moto. I'd rather have heard it from someone I know than to see some bullshit blurb on TV about another pro wrestler dying in his hotel room.
This is some sad shit. I hope his family will be okay. I remember how happy I was when Eddy, Benoit, Malenko, and Saturn came to the WWEff, especially for Eddy and Benoit, and what I thought would be their chance to shine as the true champs of pro wreslting that I knew they really were. I can't believe this shit. I'll miss Eddy big time, and now, aside from Benoit, there's no reason to look back at the WWEff. First Hashimoto, and now this. It's a sad year for true, pro wrestling icons. Goodbye Eddy.

Shit, yeah,
I just read this on a news site and was SHOCKED. I didnt even comprehend it for like a minute.
My favorite Eddie moment was at the end of WMXX with him and Benoit standing in the ring triumphant. That was really the "great things really DO happen to great people in wrestling" and is probably one of the best memories i'll ever have about pro wrestling.
RIP Eddie and my best wishes to his family and close friends.
Ugh, this really sucks.

WWE has dedicated the RAW and SmackDOWN! tapings to a memorial of Eddie Guerrero - who, I believe, was going to become World Heavyweight Champion at the tapings due to an injured Batista - and have also posted videos of big Eddie moments. [edit]So, anyway. Favorite Eddie moments. Among my favorite Eddie moments are when the Latino Heet gimmick was starting up, and Eddie was with Chyna. Now, not because I like Chyna or anything, but because after Chyna was in Playboy, Eddie started carrying around that loaded boquet of roses, which he used to bash Chyna's head in on a couple occassions, and Billy Gunn, too. And violence against Billy Gunn is always welcome and heartwarming. Another favorite moment would be when he turned heel on Tajiri after they lost the tag titles, and Eddie powerbombed Tajiri onto his lowrider. He looked concerned, then shoved Tajiri off the lowrider and started hugging the car. Also, any time Cole would say "Eddie should win an Oscar for this," whenever Eddie would play dead after smashing his opponent with a chair.

It still doesn't seem real. I got misty eyed, and almost lost it, man. I've never gotten emotional about a wrestler passing before... At least he died somewhat peacefully, with his life cleaned up. Batter to pass brushing his teeth than OD'ing on painkillers or something like so many others have. Maybe that's why he touched me more than the others... because he was able to get past those problems. I just hope his heart was right with the Lord (and I tend to think it was, because of how he did put away all those bad things...). My prayers will definately be with his family..

My favorite Eddie Guerrero moment... was just after he beat Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship - the whole celebration with the fans and everything, just pure joy.
Like, seeing that was everything RIGHT with pro wrestling, and Eddie Guerrero will always be associated with that - Eddie Guerrero was everything RIGHT with pro wrestling today, overcoming his personal demons and achieving success...
Vaya con dios, ese bato.

OG-FPD's Tribute match for Eddie Guerrero: og-fpd.fireproclub.com/Matches/EddieGuerreroTributeMatch.zip2 out of 3 falls: Chris Benoit vs. Dean Malenko. Chavo Guerrero Jr. as Referee. . This has no OG-FPD storyline implications, its a straight tribute and it seemed that the cpu knew that and had them put everything on the line.

Well, more bad news...
"*Victor Mar, better known in Japan and Mexico as Black Cat passed away yeterday from a massive heart attack at the age of 51. Mar wrestled in both Japan and Mexico throughout his 22-year career. His biggest push came in the early 90's where he was part of the original Los Gringos Locos group with Art Barr and Eddy Guerrero. Mar was instrumental in training a number of workers in Japan including Chris Benoit and also worked with wrestlers that dabbled into MMA in the last couple of years."
Fifty one. That's too godamned young. Well, Art Barr and Eddy will be waiting for him I guess. What a hard life...

Just when you thought they really couldn't get any worse...
From Live Audio Wrestling:
"*A lot of people in the WWE are very unhappy over the Randy Orton promo at the "Smackdown" tapings. For those that did not read the spoilers, Orton did a promo on Eddy Guerrero and saying that he's in hell. It's a sad state when such a thing doesn't even surprise me anymore by the WWE, the fact they are going to use Eddy Guerrero to get guys over is just terrible. I'm sure the company line will continue to be "We are incorporating Eddy into our storylines because the fans don't want to forget Eddy and Eddy would be happy". Well something tells me that if his 3 young daughters and grieving wife were watching the program and hear a wrestler say that Eddy is in hell, I doubt they would be smiling and thinking how noble the WWE is to remember Eddy."
I don't know what to say...
