Man, Harvest Moon DS was in my DS when it got jacked. Needless to say, I miss that game. Rune Factory sounds pretty cool, too.

Man, I can't believe this is my first time hearing about this, but Rune Factory is coming to the US! ^_^ *Crickets* Yeah, so you prolly don't know what Rune Factory is... It's a Harvest Moon spinoff (in fact, the official US title is Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon), that has, I guess, a lot of the basic HM mechanics, like farm-tending, etc. But the twist is, there are now hack-n-slash dungeons in which you can capture monsters to raise on your farm. It sounds (and looks) pretty cool, and I've been following it for the last year, since I heard about it coming out in Japan. I doubt it'll be a "OMG BEST GAME EVER!1!!!!1!!" game, but, for whatever reason, I'm pumped for this game. Should be out in a few more months! ^_^ I think this sounds relevant to our interests. And knowing the Dump's Interests, this is probably something we'd give a try then lament it sitting in our backlog for months at a time.

Hmm, I think this just came out. VOLTRON LOVE! Any of you guys rockin' SRT G1 or G2 for the GBA? I picked up both of them at a pawn shop that was shutting down a while back for fifteen smackers! (2 for 15. Who needs GBA, PS3, 360, and the Wii are here...).

I've only seen it once at the Gamestop down in Haddesburg. I might pick it up if I see it again, but at this point, NO MORE EFFING GAMES. Especially GBA games, since they don't like to sleep like good little video games.

First Impression: Dead and Furious
Portable House of the Dead except not as good. But, it doesn't mean the game is bad. Game plays like House of the Dead, moving screens and shooting zombies by tapping the screen. I've only played through two levels so I don't have a lot to say about this game (don't even know exactly why I'm typing this up). The game doesn't have music during game play, but that's a hit or miss depending from person to person. The only thing that I have to complain about the game so far is the reloading time. It isn't instant reload like all of those shooting games (House of the Dead, Time Crisis, Virtua Cop) and the reloading time might get your ass whacked by those zombies. Go ahead and check it out even if you have some interest in this genre. You'll have to import this game from Europe though.

Is that where you "imported" it from?

For some reason, I doubt a "light gun"-style shooter on the DS would be very exciting...

No, but actually this time. I'll give Nintendo this, it's really clever how they have all of the cool TV ads, pictures of this mock-up console in magazines, and even, get this, "Wii games" for rent/sale at various stores! Who are they fooling, and when are they really going to release this thing? The pretend pictures of it look so cool, I wonder what it will really look like when it's released? Maybe "Wii" is just a code name for the DOLPHIN! I don't think I can hold on until 2012 for the release of the Wii!
*pisses Spiderman underoos*

Supposedly, the reason for the shortage is the EU launch.

"Shortage" implies less than normal numbers. The Wii's existence is merely a component of gaming lore, like Sheng Long as some hidden character from Street fighter, or $ony's interest and concern regarding gamers having fun. I'll find a fucking sasquatch sitting in my living room reading The Canterbury Tales, smoking a pipe full of ground up fairy wings and distilled rainbows before I'll see a real Wii. Why you ask, because Santa Claus thumb wrestling with the Easter Bunny is more real than the Wii.

Oh, now you're just being silly. It's not Nintendo's fault that other Canadians buy the Wii before you get to them. Maybe they're just cooler than you, man. But, I'm sure that if you keep traveling up and down the only road you silly canucks have, you'll come across a shop(pe) with a Wii to sell you.
Just... just make sure it's not a brothel.
