Definitely time to get some Wii Points! Unless one of you guys would like to gift it to me.

So what have you guys heard about "Spider-Man: Web of Shadows?" I just watched the preview on the Nintendo Channel and this is the first I've heard of the game or just remember recently about it. It looks kinda cool. I love the symbiote storyline and there seems to be other marvel universe characters in it (like Wolverine). Could this be the next great 3rd party game just months removed from Star Wars?

Haven't heard a bunch about Web of Shadows, but I know that it involves the symbiotes (they look like Venom, but someone told me they're actually the same species as Venom, come to take over Earth) and that Spidey will be able to change between the standard red/blue costume and the black symbiote costume, and each will have certain strengths and witnesses - like the normal costume will be faster and more agile, while the black costume will be more brute strength.
They're also doing vertical combat in the game, where you can run up the sides of buildings and fight enemies now. There will be appearances from Marvel characters (the only one announced so far is Wolverine, but it happens in New York, so I'd expect to see some of the Fantastic Four at least) and there's a few things that could happen to 'em. They could get taken over by symbiotes and you have to fight them. Or, since you can handle things in a "good" or "bad" way, they could just not like what you've been doing and think that it's time to put an end to your shenanigans. Sounds like it might be neat.
I read IGN's review of Mega Man 9 for WiiWare, and check it; there are achievements and there's downloadable content! How cool is that?

Yeah that Spiderman game really impressed me. Free-roaming + vertical combat + symbiotes + BLACK COSTUME + stuff. Recipe for a good game, in theory at least!
I'll be downloading Mega Man 9, no doubt. I've always loved the mega man games and my appetite for a solid side-scroller is insatiable, but that will at least fill me up for a few hours ;D

Just beat Strong Bad episode 1 tonight I had been going a bit slowly but tonight I put in like 3 hours and beat it. It definitely picks up in humor and plot as it goes on. At first i was kinda just wandering around doing the usual "try every item with every object" and talk to everyone but not much as happening. But tonight a few things just kinda clicked and things started rolling nicely. There were some absolutely hysterical moments in the game, it definitely held true to the spirit of the world. Ending was awesome I downloaded episode 2 which looks even funnier so I'm looking forward to that

Definition of frustration: Super Dodge Ball is out for the Virtual Console, and I CANNOT CONNECT TO THE F__KING INTRAWEB WITH MY GODAMNED WII!!!!!111!1 Between the connectivity dodgyness of my Wii, and my disappointment with Force Unleashed, this has been a frustrating week in vids for me.

The new Mega Man is also released. Sorry about your connection issues dude, I've had an entire week of my cable modem having to be restarted every freaking hour (and its not in the same room). Super frustrating

Brutal. Why does the intraweb have to be so complicated, and get in the way of us taking out the dastardly Russians and the shifty Kenyans in Dodge Ball action?

LOL, that's part of their shifty strategies Also, I was thinking of getting Super Dodge ball but after the DS experience, i dunno. I forgot what the NES version had over the DS version besides lower expectations (in terms of online). Was the 1p mode better?

Yeah i really remember the NES version being so fun. Its hard to tell if the DS version is actually better but since the expectations weren't met, it seems like a worse game then the NES one even if it technically has more options. It just was so disappointing I may get the NES game though. I finally beat one of the Mega Man stages last night, it was quite rewarding. Its seriously freaking HARD.

I reinstalled my WiFi connector with a NEW program and my Wii is online again! Super Dodge Ball is just as fun as I remember (flickering players and all), and yeah, somehow, it's better than the DS travesty. I'm hoping that XBL will get the ARCADE version of the game some day, because THAT would be tits. For now, I'm stoked with my NES version, and the old Wii gets another shot at life! A Mega Man game difficult? Say it ain't so?!?!

LOL, yeah I think I forgot how hard those games were, especially the early games. Mega Man 9 is based more on 1 and 2 then later on. I always liked 3 the best but that was a bit easy. And I remember playing one of the newer Mega Man games on the PSX (not the spacey Mega Man X ones but just a later game, maybe 8) and not finding that SO hard. But it could just be im out of practice. As much as I play the Mario side-scrollers, they just aren't difficult in the same way. But I'm enjoying the challenge I've also found that i like using the regular Wiimote better for MM9 then the classic controller. I dont have to plug anything in and so its easier "quick play" and i dont have to have the Wiimote dangling around. I've been holding off on getting more VC games just cause i still have a working NES and SNES, but i dont have the original Super Dodge Ball so i may grab that and enjoy it as it was

Oh, hey. If you're real sadistic, then MegaMan 9 has two downloadable content difficulties that'll be available; Hero and Super Hero mode, which amp up the enemy spawn rates and just make things more difficult for ya. And then there's Endless Mode, which is an endless level that you just have to try and get as far through as you can. There's also gonna be ProtoMan mode, where you get to play as ProtoMan. And then... I forget what the other DLC is. hahah
