Fuck your Ike. And, also, fuck your goddamned RED connection. I dunno what was worse; the lag, or my pitiful performance in Sudden Death. And what's really stupid (and I found out with Ike's little diving slash in that last Sudden Death) is, it seems that there are attacks that override Peach's reflect attack thing. Which kinda defeats the purpose of a reflect attack, right?

The lag was pretty nasty, yeah, the game nearly grinding to a halt multiple times definitely killed any flow to it... I wish I had an ethernet port, wireless gaming with a console system is no way to go through life, son.

I was using Peach whenever I was able in Subspace Emissary and a bit in Classic at work, and any close attack would get blocked and the poor bastard'd blasted back by Toad spores. Whachutalkin'bout? As long as you don't have a crud connection, wireless is just fine. Are you leeching? Or letting others leech?

I gotta use my Nintendo USB Dongle for wifi - only person leeching from me, is me, and I stopped downloading music when we started playing. I think I can get a connector to just plug in the system - there is NO FUCKING WAY I can accept Smash Brothers, a 4 player game, has worse ping ratio than Halo 3 running a full 16.

If your modem has a USB output, just hook it up through that. Easy as stellar cartography.

*Is jealous of you guys who get to play online* :\ Do you REALLY wanna know what you miss by not playing me? Rape. Seriously. Ask moto. Totally rocked his laggy-ass world earlier. Kicked his ass so hard, the internet couldn't handle it.

Yeah. I was using Peach whenever I was able in Subspace Emissary and a bit in Classic at work, and any close attack would get blocked and the poor bastard'd blasted back by Toad spores. I'm obviously a noob at this so my word may not mean much, but when I was playing as Pit, I found that his down special (the shield block) didn't seem to do that much when I got attacked. Blocking seems...inaccurate, in this game. Both the regular block and special blocks. There's definitely a focus on offense so I wouldn't count on any special block or reflect move to have super high priority. At least not from what I've seen but, again, my two nights of playing doesn't equal even half-reliable knowledge So let's just say that if Geese was in the game, I wouldn't be attempting his counters

I found evades to be more useful than outright blocks - and, slightly more consistent, too. I can dodge like WHOA, blocking?
Man thats too iffy for me to trust. I'll just go without, y'know?

Yeah I should try the dodges more. I hear the air dodges are also useful. I think the "check" on the dodges vs. the blocks is that the dodges are for shorter duration. But if its so much more effective, then it's worth it. Not only does blocking seem iffy, but you can also get yourself dizzy'd if you do it for too long.

MY laggy ass? Bitch, I run fat pipes! The only reason your ass won is because you unleashed the greatest weapon in online gaming; massive goddamned lag. Bitch.
Some characters have reflect moves, like Pit and Fox, which reflect projectiles. Peach's is supposed to be a counter more than a reflect; it should bounce off any attack and give retaliatory damage.
[edit:] I'm gonna be on-and-off tonight. I'd like to get to unlocking some characters, since I only have the starting 21.

Ohhh, Pit's shield move is supposed to be a projectile reflector, that makes more sense then a "super blocker" as I originally thought.

Fox/Falco/Wolf also have projectile reflectors, Ness/Lucas have projectile absorbers that heal for the damage they'd have taken, and Mr. Game & Watch has a projectile absorber that he can make a big-ass attack out of. I'm probably forgetting a couple, but Serebii.net actually has a decent chart for the characters. The instruction manual for the game does, but I don't know how in-depth it goes, and it doesn't talk about the hidden characters.
