Well then, I'll have to make up for his absence in the last game by dealing him a perpetual stream of F-5 category ass whuppins in the new game. I hope there's a giant meat grinder level FATALITY in this game, I need to make me some monkey sausage.

You want Mario Kart, eh? Well Mr. Moto, I want it to rain cotton candy, smiles to be usable as currency, and rainbows to spill out of nasty peoples' mouths every time they have something unsavory to say. An acceptable substitute for all of that would be to find another copy of No More Heroes ANYWHERE in this frozen cesspool I call home, but since I know neither scenario is very likely, I'll have to wait patiently. At least you can hit SUPLEX FAWKIN' BURGER while YOU wait for Mario Kart...

Just read the IGN article and I really am getting damn excited for this game. Here's a gamespot article as well. Mostly the same info but a few extra pieces.

I'm just glad - no, overjoyed - that they seem to've found a way to do away with snaking.
I fucking hate snaking.

Me too. I tried playing MK DS online a few times, what a waste of time.

Me too. I tried playing MK DS online a few times, what a waste of time. Man, for a second I thought you were referring to Mortal Kombat DS ;D Which is actually supposedly a quality online DS experience!! Even though Mario Kart was CLEARLY the topic here, i've always associated the MK initials with Mortal Kombat in just about every situation I've heard Mario Kart DS was a total mess online cause of said "Snaking" though. Like it wasn't even racing anymore, just spamming that one technique over and over... Much like Mortal Kombat 2 on SNES Xband with Scorpion's spear due to the lag ;D

What exactly IS snaking? I've heard so many people complain about it, yet I don't get it.

I think its a way to weave left and right on a straight-away to get constant speed bursts. Its based on "power sliding" and you usually can power-slide around a turn to get a speed boost, that's what the power-slide technique was meant for. However, snaking is kind of a perversion of "power-sliding" on a straight-away to keep giving yourself speed boosts constantly. I don't think it was intended for the game. I hesitate to call it a glitch, but more of an omission of Nintendo to realize and limit the repercussions.

For those of us eligible (haha, not you moto, you hoser) GameStop will be hosting a Smash Brothers Brawl tournament that'll lead from the city level to the regional level to the COUNTRY.
For Plasma Screen TVs, Nintendo Wiis, Vidya Gaems and $5,000.

Ooh. Check it. LostWinds is a WiiWare game coming out, that looks great and sounds fun! [edit:] Also, Telltale Games is making some stuff for WiiWare, stuff that's not Sam & Max.

You know what games the Wii needs?
A Panzer Dragoon and a Virtual On game. I think some motion controls would be great for Virtual On.

Cool coincidence! A friend (who just picked up a Wii) and I were discussing this, and we'd both decided that Panzer Dragoon, Rez, and Sega Marine Fishing all need to be on the Wii, pronto! Panzer Dragoon would be PERFECT for the Wii! Virtual On is a hell of an idea, too!
