Even broken clocks are right twice a day ;D Seriously though, Zack and Wiki is awesome. And if Super Mario Galaxy wasn't already coming out and pre-ordered, I'd go for Paper Mario soon too on your endorsement. But I'll probably go for that sometime next year when SMG and Z&W have been taken care of

I totally need to beat Zack and Wiki before you do.
So much for getting Tribulation finished before the 12/13 show goes up.
Muwahahahaaaa!!!

Well uh considering I have about 83 shows to do before then and find myself struggling to write HaLAWLoween, you still probably WILL get Z&W beaten AND get Tribulation done before 12/13

I think I'm gonna do like 2 stages everytime I play. That seems to be a good balance until things get totally crazy and I'll likely be stuck for hours on ONE stage. I just beat Stage 4 now (the one with the giant fish) and that took a bit of time, but Im glad I didn't need to cheat. I did have to use one revive card though cause I died cheaply (the fishermonster woke up JUST as I was making my get away after I spent 30 minutes killing the fish!). But yeah, that was cool and this was the first time I was able to figure out for myself that I had to ring the bell to transform the frog, in order to progress. So i'm happy with figuring that out, and the rest was pretty easy from there. But I KNOW i'm gonna get freaking terribly stuck soon ;D Still, I'm loving the game more after every stage

Yanno what sucks and is cool at the same time? After you beat the game, there are boat-tons of new treasures to unlock in the levels, and the way to get them? Well, it's totally effing dependent on what you can do in a level. LOTS of experimentation, but, you have to wait until after you've beaten the game. hahah
Also, are you sending Maddy out to hunt treasure for ya? You really should be!

Damn, now I want Zack and Wiki, but I don't have the cash to spare for it... I'm kind of at a loss of what to do; I've got Galaxy paid off through store credit from GameCrazy (though, I'm gonna hold off on playing it, much like I am with Phoenix Wright 3, until I beat some of my old games), and I also pre-ordered FPR on Amazon. Around Christmas time, I'll likely get some gift cards, but the problem is, my PS2 finally crapped out on me... Meaning, FPR will be sitting right in front of me, and I have no way to play it. Hm...

He's the guy sitting by the book shelf. He'll pull up a map, and then you just tell him where you want him to check out. Any secret treasure maps you get will show up on that screen, too, so you'll know where to go to get the good stuff.

Seriously...
Super Mario Galaxy.
WOW.
I'm not gonna give a full review now but my first impressions are that i'm completely blown away. Everything in the trailers is true and yet doesn't even attempt to convey how amazing it is to actually play the game.
Its like Mario 64 but SUPER smooth and with so much variety. Floating around, flipping around, going upside down, spinning through stars. The core 3d platforming is vastly improved on and controls much better. (I always lost control of Mario in M64 but I took to Galaxy IMMEDIATELY).
The boss fights have been really fun so far. And seeing a giant boss on a tiny planet is really kinda funny. ANd there are a lot of planet-specific game mechanics like slingshot plants and coconuts you can "spin attack" to lob onto evil plants. I loved one board where you're kinda in something resembling a snowglobe maze. It becomes kinda 2d at that point and the gravity keeps switching on you so that sometimes its tied to the floor and other times the ceiling. But best of all, I can already tell this game has replay value. As I already had so much fun on a stage that I wanted to do it again. Its just freaking fun to play!
So to summarize: Getting kicked in the face by Kawada: Bad. Playing SMG: Good.

Deadly. I had a copy in my hands today ($49.99 CAN), but I left it where it was in hopes that some magical gaming fairie would bring me a copy for free....
Wow, Gamespot SLAMED Fire Emblem for the Wii! IGN gave it 8/10, and Nintendo Power shot it a 9.5... I wonder who's right?

So.. Apparently a couple of GameStops around me have some WIIs in stock and I suddenly have this urge to get one (last time I ended up with a PSP, one of the best gaming decisions that I have ever made). I should probably get it soon before the holiday rush and I do have a couple of games that I am interested in, Fire Emblem, Metroid, and Zelda.
I don't need a hi-def television do I?
...and should I make the Wii my first Nintendo home console?

Could just be one of those titles where you kinda have to be a fan of to really appreciate. Hell, didn't the Phoenix Wright games get pretty mediocre reviews? And most of us here like them.
