I just want to take this time to let everyone, especially Jon, know that Pro Wrestling is scheduled as one of the future NES games to be released for the Virtual Console.
And on the note of the Virtual Console, the list of upcoming SNES made me happy. So happy in fact that I packed up my SNES. Contra III, Donkey Kong Country, Kirby Super Star, Kirby's Dreamland 3, Pilotwings, Super Mario RPG, Super Mario World, Super Metroid and Uniracers are games that have received an updated ESRB rating or been announced by Nintendo.

Pongball, a gal on the Metroid Metal forums, made Miis of some of the other Metroid Metal forum peoples. One, though, stood above the rest, because of how damn eerie and good it looked. (Yeah, the girl's username is poop.) And this is her, showing off her Metroid Metal shirt.

A few notes.
1) Dying from drinking water is the lamest way to die, ever. 2) "Hold your wee for a Wii" is the best contest name, ever. 3) She didn't win the contest, she came in second place. 4) The radio show was taken off the air and the entire 10-person staff for it was fired.

Bunk. One irresponsible moron (who has left TWO ORPHANS) fucks up and dies in a contest, and ten people get fired for it. After reading this, I wouldn't be shocked if the radio station peeps were charged with first degree murder.
PS: How long till Thompson tries to have water and radio stations banned in Florida?

Well, the people on the show were declaired to be the irresponsable ones. One of the people on the radio show expressed concern for water intoxication, and the other hosts waived it off as "Oh, c'mon! Humans are 95% water! How could more be bad?!?" and then, a while later when a nurse called in to tell them about water intoxication, the DJs replied with "We made 'em sign waivers so we're not liable." So, yeah, the radio crew deserved to be fired, especially since they clearly didn't have any kind of medical personnel on hand to care for any contestants that fell out. The mom just wanted to get something nise for her kids for the holidays.

Yeah, and it sucks that she died, but if you entered a hot dog eating contest and violently shit your pants after the twelvth frank, would you expect the organizers to be fired and a new pair of pants delivered to you?
I doubt anyone expected anyone else to DIE in a "drink without diddling" contest (there are don't pee, win a car contests all of the time), but I guess shitty things can hapen anywhere to anyone. If radio stations started canning their hosts on a regular basis for stupid contests and actions, there'd only be TV and intrawebs left by now.
Uh, back to fun Wii stuff. ^__^

I think the reason this one is being pointed out more is because they made the contestants keep drinking water; there wasn't a limit that they put on it, unlike most of the contests of this type.

Microsoft taking lessons from the Wii! From their own mouth!" Xbox Microsoft boss Peter Moore has hinted at a change in strategy for Xbox 360 going into 2007, to compete with the nstream appeal of Nintendo's fun-focused Wii.
"From a first-party point of view, it's not just about E-rated games, it's going to be about the experience that, quite frankly, Nintendo has done a tremendous job in capturing, in bringing back fun - if you will - to the gaming platforms", said Moore in an interview with Game Informer. "Yes, I'm sure they have some degree of ulterior motive ;D But for having the balls to publicly acknowledge that a competitor did something GOOD for the industry, Microsoft should be commended.
