Eh, what's wrong with Breaking Benjamin? Sure, they're a bit "generic", but their songs are fairly catchy and fun to listen to. Besides, it could be worse; it's not like I listen to bands like Nickelback or Theory of a Deadman. BB is one of the few "generic radio-friendly" bands I listen to, to be honest.

I'm wrapping up my first listen through of Black Gives Way To Blue. Now, I've never really been that crazy about AiC (I like them and all, they just never blew me away), and this new album hasn't exactly changed my mind, but it's still pretty good. I'm most impressed by the fact that I can barely tell that Layne is gone. I don't know if Duvall just sounds a lot like him, or if Cantrell has always had a bigger vocal role in AiC (or a mix of both), but it almost sounds like nothing has changed. I love the song Check My Brains, also. True, it's probably the most radio-friendly song on the album (hence why it was the first single), but I love that song.

A lot of the stuff sounds like they layered DuVall and Cantrell, which is what a lot of old AiC did with Staley and Cantrell, but... I'm with you, man. Nothing here really super blew me away. It's good, and I like it, but nothing jumped out at me a la Them Bones or We Die Young.

I kind of feel like it's a more radio friendly Jerry Cantrell album hiding as an Alice in Chains album.
Like a lot of the melodic instances and slower tunes are more along the lines of something off of Cantrell's "Boggy Depot" and the more aggressive tunes seem more along the lines of "Degradation Trip" - but any more blabbering and I'm gonna sound like a music whore who talks about it without really understanding things so blah blah blah blah blah

Got Chasing The Grail today. Won't be able to listen to it tomorrow, though. :/ I'm sort of interested in hearing the 14 minute song that closes out the album, just because I don't think they've ever attempted a big "epic" song like this.

Okay, listened to Chasing The Grail, here are my opinions on the tracks after one listen through:
Under Blackened Skies is a neat opening track, though it's not that catchy. Martyr No More, Grail, Broken Soul, and Let The Madness Begin are pretty good tracks. Didn't really care much for Pray For Blood, and New Day's Dawn is kinda strange sounding because of the vocals on the chorus (which are done by Rich Ward, I believe). God Pounds His Nails is a pretty fun "rocker" track, Watch Me Shine was kind of forgettable, Paraskavedekatriaphobia is alright but I need to hear it a few more times to figure out if I really like it or not, didn't really care much for Revival. Wormwood ended up being pretty epic. Not necessarily an "amazing" album, but there's definitely more good than bad, I think, and it's pretty solid.

I'm liking the new Ozzy single. It's kinda weird, though, to hear an Ozzy song without Zakk Wylde. You can definitely tell he's not there anymore.

Just finished listening through Asylum. It was... alright. Stylistically, it sounds a bit more like Believe, to me, and I much prefer the style of Ten Thousand Fists and Indestructible. Still, not too bad overall. I'll have to listen through it again, though; lately, I've found myself hating a lot of new releases on the first listen through, but liking them more and more with subsequent listens.
Oh, and their U2 cover song is really lame. Of course, I'm not a fan of U2 to begin with, but still.

I've been listening to a lot of the songs on the album a few times over, and like I thought I would, I'm starting to come around on the album. Still prefer the last two, but eh. MY favorite track right now is Innocence. The Animal, Sacrifice, and The Infection are pretty cool, too. Of course, I dig the single (Another Way To Die). I'm not as crazy about the title track as I have been on the past albums. For some reason, I find My Child to be kind of a chilling song; I suppose because the subject matter is pretty sad, combined with the fact that it actually happened to Draiman.
Songs I don't like: Never Again, Crucified, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For. The former two seem very "filler" to me, and the U2 cover, again, is just bad. Songs I kinda like, but only a little: Serpentine, Warrior, Leave It Alone (iTunes exclusive track).
