Got two albums to comment on; first off, the new Black Sabbath album, The Devil You Know. Pretty good album, and it's amazing how they don't sound as though they've aged a bit. Dio's better than ever, especially. Typically, this slower "doom metal", as its termed, doesn't do much for me, but come on, it's Sabbath. Favorite track off the album is without a doubt Eating The Cannibals. Cool song.
Next is an album for my fellow thrash metal fans out there (... are there any here besides me?). Most thrash fans know there's been an influx of new "thrash revivalist" bands these last few years, and one of them is Warbringer. They released their debut album about two years ago, and it was good. This past week, they released their second full length, Waking Into Nightmares. Now, here's the thing; I really like a lot of these new thrash bands, and they're fun to listen to, but the problem is, none of them have really done anything memorable. Older thrash has so many great riffs, lyrics, etc. that I can quite vividly remember. But these days, it just seems like a lot of fast-paced unimaginative riffs, and unfortunately, that's where this new Warbringer album falls. Again, though, it's still a very fun listen if you're a person like me, some one that pretty much enjoys all things thrashy, but if you're looking for something that's more imaginative and original, you probably won't find much here. MY two favorite tracks here are Jackal, and Living In A Whirlwind.

So, if you're a fan, there's a new Anarchy Club song up, Riddle Me This. I know they have the download link on their MySpace, and I think they also have it on their site. It's pretty heavy, very much in the vein of Get Clean off of Rock Band 2.

Anyone hear the new Megadeth track, "Headcrusher"? I listened to the full version on YouTube yesterday (lost the link, though... sorry...), and it was pretty neat. Admittedly, it almost sounds like Sleepwalker Pt. 2, but it's still a pretty fun track. Hopefully the rest of the album is able to ntain that thrashy feel to it. People have high hopes because Chris Broderick is doing guitar on this new album, but I'm not familiar enough with his work to be able to get excited about that. But, I'm a big Megadeth fan, so I'm sure I'll enjoy Endgame either way. ^_^

Overclocked Remix has released a huge Final Fantasy IV remix project! I just came across this tonight and haven't listened to it yet (probably tomorrow) but the video sounded great - Youtube Teaser vid (with pics from the games too) - Official website - you can download everything here either individually or via torrent. If they do this for FFVI, I'm gonna have to be picked up off the floor ;D

I got the new Evile CD today. I'm fairly disappointed, though, because they ditched the thrash sound from their debut, and decided to go with a generic, dull, mid-paced sound. :/ Some of the tracks are kinda catchy, I guess, but after the awesome Enter The Grave album, I had such high hopes that this one would continue that.
