*We see OG-Joshi and LAWL wrestler Alicia Gordon standing proudly in front of a WARP.STAR banner.*
Alicia: "It's a month after the OG-FPD 3 Year Anniversary show and just a couple of days after the LAWLiday 2006 DVD release...and yet, THIS right now is my first public appearance. In fact, THIS very moment is one I've been waiting for ever since WARP.STAR was first announced back in November."
Alicia: "While my efforts at both previously mentioned shows represent what I've been able to do in pro wrestling this last year, it is the WARP.STAR show that represents WHY I am in pro wrestling."
Alicia: "Competition. PURE competition against the best wrestlers in the world. No post-match attacks or crazy germanic she-men trying to injure people. But a show full of women that desire to be the BEST in pro wrestling while facing the best. So I'd like to thank Jenny McLanahan for inviting me to wrestle on this show, as doing so will be the brightest spot of the last year for me."
Alicia: "After a year of dealing in TWO promotions with women out for violence, xenophobia, and orange things rolling in vinegar, I get the chance to be part of a match I'm really looking forward to at WARP.STAR."
Alicia: "I get to partner with my HAWT*Wing ally and friend, Diane "Dizzy" Cavuto. This is the first time we will be tag-team wrestling together and it is an honor for me to compete alongside such an accomplished wrestler and role model. She is a woman that I am not ashamed to say that I have been a bit jealous of this past year. No, not because she was the first OG-Joshi Champion and one half of the current OG-Joshi Tag Team Champions. Those are incredible achievements but I KNOW how hard she has worked to earn them. You see, I don't get jealous of achievements, I ADMIRE those that accomplish them. I get JEALOUS of opportunities and Dizzy was part of so many incredible matches this past year, ones that were based on competition rather then violence. I envy the competition she faced and that is why I am SO excited to be part of this tag match with her! After a year of having to deal with maniacs craving destruction, I get to take part in a match where competition is the standard and being the best is the goal."
Alicia: "I also get to face two excellent wrestlers. Juli Tanaka is a women I have never faced before but have heard 'horror' stories about how hard she pushes herself and her students in the pursuit of being the best. THAT is the kind of fighter I got into this business to compete with. That is the women who will twist me into holds and chop my chest until it's beet red...but that I could also shake the hand of after the match is over. That is the type of women I will be able to test my skills against and learn from in the ring. "
Alicia: "And then...there's her tag team partner for the match... Kaori NiGHT"
*Alicia smiles widely and nods her head.*
Alicia: "I'm excited, I'm REALLY excited to face her...again. One of my first matches in OG-Joshi was against her at Venomous Ties in October of 2005. She beat me...decisively. And I was definitely discouraged after her victory. But in retrospect, I had more fun and learned more while losing to her then I did while beating Juli Krieger or facing Grace Reyes! At Venomous Ties, Kaori tested my skills and bested them. She tested my desire and matched it. But you see...she did all THAT to the Alicia of 2005." *Alicia smiles*
Alicia: "I've come a long way since that match, Kaori. And while I know you have raised your game as well, I think you'll be quite surprised, and even pleased when you see who I am in the ring now. And that's what excites me about this match. Unlike my competition of 2006, Kaori is the type of wrestler, the type of person, who WILL be pleased that a rival has gotten better! She'll push herself harder as a result and enjoy the competition even more then before. Though she might not enjoy the outcome this time." *Alicia winks*
Alicia: "This match represents the best of professional wrestling and I will be training harder to make sure that I am more ready then ever to do my part for our team in the match. With two distractions out of the way from this past month, my head is more clear then ever...and I believe I am ready to give my best."
Alicia: "But it's not just about me, or even my match, or the wrestlers on the show. Hopefully every wrestler in this entire industry sees this event and realizes that WARP.STAR represents a future of competition that we can all work towards. Once that is realized, we can all get there faster...with warp speed."
*Alicia smiles and walks away as the scene fades*
