I don't really want to talk at length as to why I don't like this game. So, I'll use an analogy.
The SmackDOWN! vs RAW engine is like a giant wall. And in this giant wall, there are very large and very noticable holes. Now, instead of patching the holes and making them go away completely, therefore strengthening the wall itself, Yukes instead covers the holes up with big posters, each shinier and flashier than the last.
In short; on a scale of 1-10, WWE SmackDOWN! vs RAW 2006 sucks dick.

That bad? Yikes. I remember enjoying Smackdown 2 way back when. Not in a WCW/nWo Revenge kind of way, but somehow. It felt a lot more Tukon Retsuden back then, and I liked the random backstage encounters with the randomly generated appearances with a moveset attached to it. It was fun trying to figure out who the multicoloured freak you were fighting was by the moves he pulled off. The last SD game I tried was HCTP (The one with Bork Lester on the front), and I remember thinking "This is just like the last one, only marginally better". I keep meaning to be objective about the SD games, and rent a new one to try, but then something else like clipping my nails of watering some plastic plants comes up. I guess THQ has solved the EA sports game equation, good for them!

I'm not crazy about the new one... It's shite! I got my ass handed to me (using Benoit) by Scotty Too Hotty (is he even in the game? I don't remember who it was specifically, but it was some ham-n'-egger nonetheless). It was cool choking out that peckerwood grandson of Carlos Colon's with Eddy for the IC strap, but other than that, I really couldn't get the hang of it.
PS: Why Daveyboy and no Dynamite? And why no Tazz unlockable moveset (Tazz should be in as a legend...)?

Why no Dynamite Kid? Prolly cuz Dyno wouldn't go back on his word to never go back to WWF like Davey Boy did, and Vince... Well, Vince is a bitter, bitter guy.

Well, I'd have to lean heavily on the first part of what you said. Vince IS bitter, but if he thought he could make some money, he'd drop that like a bad habit. 'Cept maybe with Savage... whatever happened there was BAD, 'cause matches against Savage aren't even on other people's DVD's..

Very true. I mean, I think people'd be all for a British Bulldogs Legend team in the video games. But, instead, we just get the guy that hit Stephy MachMahannon with a trash can?
