I'd say this is the first UFC in a long time where I've been somewhat emotionally invested in who wins. I'm pulling big time for Rampage and really hope we don't see Thumb2eyeFu. I'm also worried that if this goes to decision, Rampage has no chance. But yeah, it should be a pretty pumped situation and I'm considering getting it as well

Coture is spouting off that he thinks 'Page will pick up the upset victory, and he said the same thing about Gabriel Gonzaga over CroCop, so here's hoping. I don't think Rampage will win this one, but either way, I think Dana White will be dropping Shogun Rua as the next opponent for the LHW champ, regardless who it is. Hopefully Chak's loss will be buzzing around in his head, and Jackson can get a chance to TDD Liddell. I guess we'll see (I don't even want to see this fight, I don't really care if I see another UFC after watching CroCop get blasted in the last show... ). The undercard is shaping up nicely. For TUF 1 fans, Leben is fighting another Canadian guy (remember the comments he made aboot Canadian fighters in the first season? He seems to be getting an endless supply of "loggers" these days.). Also, one of my faves Ivan Sallavery is going to be fighting Terry Martin, so that will be a bit of alright! Fight Card

Sallavery is back? I remember when he got chucked out of the UFC for some combination of "Boring fight" and "Being friends with Tito". Glad to see him back though, I liked watching him. Very technically oriented and smart. I really hope Rampage comes into his match motivated and with goggles...

UFC has seriously not had any drawing cards this year, have they? They lost their draw when Cro Cop went down, as Couture vs Cro Cop would have been big cash money, but this is their closest thing. Its not quite as big as CHAK vs WANDY would be, but I'm still stoked.
Rampage has had a really bad past couple of years, and hasn't been all that impressive. That being said, he knows not only how to beat Chuck, but how to dominate and destroy him. Chuck in his reign has faced a lot of really technical guys; Couture, Horn, Babalu, etc, but Rampage isn't much of a technician. That isn't saying he isn't good, because his punching ability is great, he has tons of power and his ground game isn't shabby. Granted, you won't see him pull out a googooplata or anything, he has good ground defense to go along with his amazing throws. Chuck's strengths when it comes to grappling is getting up and out of the way, but the momentum from doing so could lead to a nasty german suplex or a big slam. He has a great sprawl, but Rampage knows how to turn a sprawl into the sprawler getting dumped on his head.
If Chuck does his usual 'circle and wait for the guy to attack and hit with a random thumb to the eye/punch to the side of the head' shit I think Rampage has a really good chance. The only problem is both guys tend to be more defensive and thats when they get their big moves in than they tend to go out there and rip people apart.

Yeah, Chack and Rampage's styles are really similar in a lot of ways, including good takedown defence and good counter-punching. If Rampage fights his old style of fight, Chuck will have his hands full, but I haven't seen Jackson fight like he needs to tonight in a LONG time (Hmmm, in about the same amount of time since he found God...).

Was that before or after Wandy punched him so hard that his skull turned into jell-o?

I'm not a striking expert by any extent, but it seemed to me that something Rampage was doing was REALLY throwing off Chuck. Maybe it was the footwork and the angles Rampage was giving him. Cause you could see Chuck's face just giving up a lot of situations and backing away. I LOL'd when Rampage was all: "Come on already!" And that strike that sent Chuck down was SUPER quick ;D
