Benoit/Malenko = Instant PPV purchase from OG
I'm still likely going to order the PPV, but it's not anywhere near as certain anymore. And i'm certainly pissed I don't get to see Benoit/Malenko greatness. Cause even an injured Benoit and a somewhat ringrusty Malenko is hands f'n down better then most of the shit Raw and Smackdown puts on for a weekly or monthly basis. Oh well. I'm hoping there will be a good Angle match to make up for it.

I'm banking on WWEff attempting to pass off Sylvester Turkay as Mike Awesome and a spray tanned Fit Finlay as Masato Tanaka to jack up the buy rates.

www.pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=18399&p=1 "After only announcing a 20 man battle royal with 10 WWE wrestlers and 10 ECW wrestlers for Wednesday's USA Network special, WWE.com has just added the following two matches to the show:
WWE Champion John Cena vs. Sabu and World Champion Rey Mysterio vs. Rob Van Dam."WOW...for the first time EVER, Rey vs. RVD. I've been waiting for this match for YEARS now (should have happened as a WM crossover match two years ago) and we get it on WEDNESDAY! I just wish it got a bigger buildup. Two of the most exciting wrestlers in the US for the last 10 years are finally going to match up. I just hope its not too schmozzy during the match with all the WWE/ECW stuff going on.

Cool! I wish I got to check that out... I wonder if Sabu and Cena will do tandem moonsaults through tables with flaming chairs tied to their asses to help get Cena over with the "chain gang" again. PS: Does Cena still have the chain? I haven't seen it in a while. I wonder if Quinton Jackson threatened to dump Cena on his head for stealing his gimmick? ;D

No mo chain for Cena, yo. Last time I remember seeing it, Carlito was trying to give it back to him during his debut match and ended up winning the US Title off Cena.

So, I'm watchin' ONS, right? Tajiri comes out with HUSTLE gear, and I believe instructing Super Crazy - his tag partner - on the finer points of the HUSTLE dance. Awesomeness.

Seeing as ECW IS BACK, well, time to sticky this as the ECW thread. (This happens as I think of it, hence no sticking of the WWE thread)
All I have to say is this: Zombie is so fucking money it hurts.

I'm thinking they're gonna bring in Sylvester "Predator" Turkay to be all "I'm badder than you, Angle"...
Then, after Angle humbles him in all likelyhood, he could re-gimmick himself as THE Predator, and fill part of the Sci-Fi quota. ;D

So, peoples, lets all discuss.
Kelly was hot, but wtf is the point of her doing a striptease when she CAN'T do nudity?
I think we saw EVERY ECW wrestler contracted last night, too... and we're looking at like, 14 or 15 people. That's not a whole lot. And, reports have it that Vince has FULL CONTROL over the ECW product now.
If they HAVE to have a Sci-Fi bent to the product, why not get something like Biomonster DNA involved? Go full out with the zombie thing, have there be more zombies every week. Nudity not required, it's pro wrestling and we have the IntraWebNet. Don't waste our time with that unless you've got places to go, like EVIL DEMON MONSTER ABDUCTING BEAUTIFUL WOMEN AND TURNING THEM INTO EVIL DEMON SPAWN!
As I see it now, it's just another hour the WWE is going to use to sell Raw and Raw PPVs: I want to believe, I so badly do... but, if things don't change quick, ECW won't last past its twelve week run. And seriously, MORE ZOMBIE PLZ K THX
And really, how depressing is it that McPro is more ECW than ECW?

Well, I think zombie was just some guy, and I doubt it'll go farther than that.
That vampire is different, though... That was Seven/Mordecai/Kevin Fertig... so they'll probably go somewhere with that. Maybe Gangrel... I think I heard somewhere they'd signed him.
As far as seeing everyone, we didn't see Jazz (who I thought would be what kept Kelly from getting naked), or Beulah (did she sign a one time deal for the PPV, or what?). I also heard Shelly Martinez was gonna get called up to be a crazy tarrot card reader type, too....
Anyway, I'm still very optimistic that once the inital WWE storyline is finished up, they'll get to focus more on ECW being something unto itself, at least until Vince sees somebody he likes, and calls them to another brand. But really... isn't that how it was originally, anyway?

The crowd was what killed it. Simple as that. The show itself was all right, but a good crowd can make a lackluster show amazing or an amazing show horrible.
