You know what, though? Disgaea is still an awesome game. And if they actually improve some elements of it, then all the better. Guess this means I won't have to get Afternoon of Darkness after all.

The rose colored glasses need not move, good sir - because, if DISGAEA can retain its flavor (read: fucking awesome voice acting) then that opens the flood gates to OTHER ports of OTHER NIS games that we'd otherwise need to pay upwards of $100 to get off of Ebay...
Like, "La Pucelle Tactics" or "Makai Kingdom."
Maybe even "Phantom Brave."

I guess I got a little hyped up when I saw "Disgaea" and "DS" in the same sentence, and kind of hoped for something brand new for the series. Being the NIS whore that I am, I'll likely pick up the DS game, because you can't have enough Disgaea on enough consoles... EVER. I have a copy of Makai Kingdom, and I forgot all about it! I read this post and thought "why does that title sound familiar?". I was thinking about it when I woke up, so I checked, and BAM, there it was! I'll have to give that one a shot, I guess (good ol' backlog. :)). |
