That sucks :( I've never used the USB connector, but perhaps you need a software upgrade for it? I have an old bookmark from before I even bought the DS. The link is about DS connectivity and it pretty much just sent me to the general Nintendo customer service site. But there is some DS-specific troubleshooting there so hopefully it can help. I wish i had something more specialized. www.nintendo.com/consumer/index.jspActually, it was the software being out of date - and, now, my system has a new friend code. :T

Yep. Your system and games getting new friend codes'll happen when you don't copy over your system information. Or can't. Whichever fits your case.

Everybody I traded/battled was easily found though - and the people I haven't added are people I see often enough that trading isn't a problem.

Just sayin', yo. So, how do you like the CobaltBlack? Is it tacky? I wanna get a new DS, but I'm not sure what color. I might even import one.

The upper screen's case is shiny blue (it looks purple in some angles) and is nice and shiny. The rest of the case is kind of this funky black material that isn't shiny, but is cool anyways. Although, if it were an option, I'd have grabbed that dark blue one you linked. The screen is WAY brighter than I'm used to - and I like that. I can actually see without an external light source, which wasn't always easy with the old DS.

The DS Lite screen really is perfectly bright. I never saw the older DS screen but the Lite is amazing. It's like a star went supernova in the palm of my hands!! ...that sounded dirtier then expected

Games I didn't enjoy as much because of the darker screen (Luminous Arc, Hoshigami Remix) are a bit easier to play with the bright screen making SEEING easier.

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........... IGN gave it an 8.0, and the second game is already being translated for a US release. There's a third game in Japan already, and it'll be coming over soon after the second, and the fourth is in the works for dems.

I picked up Layton and Apollo today.
I... don't really feel like playing either of them, though.
I'm so confused.
