One of my friends told me about Bleach. He's a big 2d fighting game fan (bigger then me, really) but never saw the series before and seemed to still like the game a lot. He said it was similar to the marvel vs. game series due to air combos and fluid movement. I'm not entirely sold on a "vs" type game being on the DS (i just can't see myself using that system for fighting games). While I don't see myself getting it, I do trust his judgment when it comes to fighting games. So take that for what you will, but I'd definitely check out further reviews if you're interested. I saw a video on gamespot that looked GOOD but again, the DS thing just kinda turns me off here. I'm old fashioned- I like my coffee black and my DS's for witch moresting!

IGNds said that the only handheld fighting game that Bleach could be second to is SNK vs. CAPCOM: Match of the Millennium for NGPC. High praise, methinks.

High praise indeed. SNK vs. Capcom on NGPC was better then most console fighting games!

I've played a bit of Bleach, and, it's not bad. Basic gameplay, but a good amount of depth.

I've played a bit of Bleach, and, it's not bad. Basic gameplay, but a good amount of depth. I try not to agree with moto too much on PRINCIPLE, but here, I have to - the manga/anime itself is BUILT for a fighting game, and it shows: Example, two n characters, Ichigo Kurosaki and Uryu Ishida. Uryu is a Quincy; essentially, he hunts evil spirits using his own spirit energy as a bow and arrow, firing energy bolts to kill things. In the vidya gaem, he's the distance fighter; you don't take the fight up close and personal with him. Ichigo Kurosaki is a Soul Reaper presented as having the typical anime hero "OVER 9000" Unlimited Potential... In game, he's not bad at anything, but doesn't really excel at anything either. The amount of actual voices in game (and CLARITY!) is still surprising to me; no matter how much Castlevania and such I play. I like it, honestly - I'd recommend it to any fighting game fan, because even if you don't follow the anime, the story mode covers most of the story from those episodes anyways.

I wanted that fucking plushie, and the simpering cocksucker at EB told me it's not available in Canada. I felt like telling him I'd better not see one hanging from the mirror in his mom's mini van when she comes to pick him up from work, or he's a dead man!
PS: Front Mission DS? Since when?!?!

I dunno if any of you have tried it or not, but Puzzle Quest for the DS is pretty good! It's the first DS game besides Cooking Mama that has been able to distract me from Animal Crossing for any extended period of time! I picked the game up used for $12.00, and it's really addictive. If you like fruity little gem puzzle games, and the idea of a pretty robust role playing aspect attached to one, Puzzle Quest is a pretty good little package!

So, for once, yesterday Wal-Mart actually came through for me; I couldn't find Phoenix Wright 3 at any store, but I finally decided to check Wal-Mart, only to find two copies left. Though, I'm holding off on playing it, because I want to focus on completing some other games from my backlog. I figure if I give myself incentive (the ability to play PW3), it'll make me finish some of my older games quicker to get to the new stuff. (b'-')b

So... Picked up Dragon Quest Monsters today and even though I was the only one to pre-order it, they still didn't have the bonus for me. Said that Nintendo didn't ship any to them or to any other GameStop store. Didn't even let me pre-order Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops + because their system hasn't been updated and the game comes out next week.
Bastards.
