How dare Capcom defile what franchise? The franchise of SNK vs Capcom Card Fighters Clash!? The one that was on the NGPC in two versions - one SNK and one Capcom? That franchise?

No, the C vs SNK franchise, yo. Whore yourself once, shame on you... whatever.

You guys keep fooling me into thinking this somehow relates to a Capcom vs. SNK 3 game. But since it doesn't, i'll kindly leave and weep

So... I'm gonna send my Nintendo DS Lite in for repairs tomorrow. Like losing a baby. Who knows when I'll get it back. My streak of taking a Nintendo handheld console to my parent's store will be broken, but the streak of having a handheld console in my pocket going to my parent's store will continue thanks to my PSP.

Y'know what'd make this all better? Phoenix Wright cards in game. Fuck your Dante, I got me Miles Edgeworth, motherfucker!

That would be quite awesome. And I don't see why they wouldn't; the Phoenix Wright series is fairly big in Japan - the one we got was the fourth in the series, I believe - and it's a huge hit here. It'd make sense to have, you know, popular characters in the game instead of people like Ingrid.

So, I have Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team. It's a neat little pokémon-themed dungeon crawler, with a nice twist on the style of gameplay. In dungeons, it's on a turn-based grid play the entire time. Turns consist of just about any action you take, be it taking a step forward, attacking, etc., and everyone in the dungeon takes works on the same turn schedule. It's actually pretty fun, and there are some neat new things done. But, it's mostly stuff that would only work in this kind of game, and not a full-on Pokémon game. You can actually go on to have all 386 pokémon by the time you're done, and the best part is, you wouldn't have to have six different games to do it! There are only a few pokémon that are version-exclusive, but using the Wonder l system (passwords that'll give you new quests, or allow you to do Buddy Team rescues with other people's games), you can actually get unlock them in your game. Now das cool. I haven't gotten too far into the game, but there's an interesting story involved here, as you are actually a human that has somehow been transported to this world of pokémon, and transformed into one to boot (the poké you play as is determined by a series of questions that you're asked at the start of the game - turns out I'm a Squirtle!), so the overall story of the game revolves around you trying to not only help out pokémon in need, but to discover how you were transformed into a pokémon, and try to become human again. No, the C vs SNK franchise, yo. Whore yourself once, shame on you... whatever. Still confused on this point, tho. It's SNK that got the ball rolling on the CvS franchise, and did the first games for it, which were on SNK's handheld. Capcom couldn't really taint it, since there wouldn't be any Capcom vs SNK without 'em, yanno? Plus, isn't SNK developing the Card Fighters Clash DS, not Capcom?

Well, not really like Disgaea or anything. It actually flows pretty quickly. There's a Slow and Fast mode in battle; I've only used the Slow mode so far, and haven't really had a problem with a little tussle taking too long. I'm gonna try out Fast mode soon to see what the differences are.

Hm. I was considering that Pokemon game, but I've heard mixed stuff about it. Might just wait until Diamond and Pearl hit the US. Any idea when that'll be, anyone...?

The man with the mushrooms is correct - unless you're up to ordering via NCSX for the Japanese version, we're waiting until Spring 2007.
Going the NCSX route, if you order today, it'll be in your grubby little monkey paws by mid-October - and trade capabilities, should you fight with that whole "japanese language text" thing will be available soon after, with global trade/battle to be set up by (approximately) the end of the year.
