Oh yeah, I forgot to mention King Emelianenko giving Barnett the "thumbs down" after Barnett's win over Nakamura. Barnett looked at Fedor as he was leaving the ring and Fedor let him know what he thinks of him. PIMP tight. If Fedor ever gave me the thumbs down... I'd make it a point to flee this universe!

Hehe, no question. The cool thing about it was how disdainful he looked when he did it. He didn't even put a grimace on his face or anything, like Barnett wasn't even worth wasting precious, Russian killing machine ATP on flexing his facial muscles into a frown or some shit. It looked like something out of a movie like Bloodsport (of which Fedor will be appearing in the OFFICIAL sequel to alongside Jean Claude Van Dam. Filming starts early this year). He's even scary when he's smiling for Christ's sake!

Yo, there are already rumours coming out of Chute boxe in Brazil that "Ninja" Rua vs. Phil "NYBA" Baroni is on for August. Is it August yet? ;D

It's weird how time plays little games with us... Looking forward to that fight, its gonna seem like YEARS until August finally gets here. And yet, once it does, and that fight happens. Time is gonna speed up... Cause Ninja is gonna whup Baroni all the way into the following March!

No shit! When there's a Pride event on NEXT WEEK, it feels like years waiting for it. I remember how stoked I was about last spring's Middleweight tournament, and all of my guys shit the bed I'm on my nkees praying for a Silva/Coleman love-in on the same card!

Okay, the next Bushido card is filling out now (not sure if the Gomi and Hendo fights are title defences or not?). Plenty of hot looking match-ups mixed with the obligatory Pride freak shows and can-fests. Looks pretty much complete with a serious shit storm announced today... Takanori Gomi vs. Marcus Aurelio (Gomi... Aurelio is good, but I think the Pride LW title has an anti-Brazilian spell cast on it that helps Gomi send Brazilians crashing to the canvas in deep REM sleep.) Dan Henderson vs. Misaki Kazuo (Who? Dude is 1-1. Pride is tossing Hendo a can so that Hendo can defend the title against either Kondo or a 185 lb Gomi, who said he'd like to move up in weight class just to fight Hendo.) Imanari Masakazu vs. Jens "lil' Evil" Pulver (Hopefully a good rebound for Pulver. He's been slumping lately, so hopefully he picks up the win here.) Kondo Yuki vs. Phil Baroni (This should be a gooder. Kondo has officially moved to the 185 lb class and I think he's a shoe-in for the belt Pride handed to Henderson to keep warm for Kondo. If Kondo doesn't get sloppy and let Baroni test his chin, I pick Kondo by RNC or leg lock.) Luiz Azeredo vs. Joachim Hansen (This will be a BANGIN' war! Hansen recently sent Shooto's champ Tetsuya Kawajiri's nuts into orbit a few seconds into a HUGELY hyped title match with an errant low blow, so Hansen will be out for blood to prove himself worthy of facing Kawajiri when his nuts decend from his neck again some day. Hansen is a MACHINE, and Azeredo is a Chute Boxe prodigy. any questions?) Gouno Akihiro vs. Kim Dae Won (I don't know who the Korean is, but Gono is a great Muay Thai dude that I've seen put on some AWESOME stand-up wars! Should be good!) Ishida Mitsuhiro vs. Paul Rodriguez (Uhh....) Murilo "Ninja" Rua vs. Paulo Filho (Filho is good, Ninja is Shogun's big bro, this should be a Jim-Dandy. ) Denis Kang vs. Mark Weir (WAR CANADA! Kang is a Canadian fighter, and a pretty spanky one at that. Should be good.) Minowa "The Punk" Ikuhisa vs. Gianto Silva (Why. What the fuck did Minowa do to Pride? I hope He kicks the shit out of Silva FAST. If he can get his stubby Japanese arms around Silva's size 25 fast enough, hopefully he can get the heel hook in and shread Silva's knee ligaments and bust his leg. WAR MINOWA!) Ikemoto Seichi vs. (yet to be announced, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Henry "Sentoryu" Miller's name here.)

Thanks for the line-up! I don't know all of these guys but i'll give a few comments: "Minowa "The Punk" Ikuhisa vs. WAR MINOWA!)"Every now and then "McMahon" booking happens in Pride... "Kondo Yuki vs. Phil Baroni (This should be a gooder. Kondo has officially moved to the 185 lb class and I think he's a shoe-in for the belt Pride handed to Henderson to keep warm for Kondo. If Kondo doesn't get sloppy and let Baroni test his chin, I pick Kondo by RNC or leg lock.)"I've never seen Yuki fight but he was one of my favorite fighters to use when i first played FPD So i guess he's a sentimental favorite. He was in Pancrase I think. Him and Masakatsu Funaki had fun poking strikes in FPD Seems like Kondo/Baroni will be pretty much technical vs. brawler, right? So Yuki just has to make sure not to play around too much and just take him down ASAP. Takanori Gomi vs. Marcus Aurelio (Gomi... Aurelio is good, but I think the Pride LW title has an anti-Brazilian spell cast on it that helps Gomi send Brazilians crashing to the canvas in deep REM sleep.)"" Brazil vs. Japan seems to be a pretty big long-lasting rivalry in Pride. Ever since Sak/Gracie Family. I've only seen a bit of Gomi but he's super impressive. Such a small guy but so deadly. I haven't see Marcus Auerlio but the history geek in me keeps hearing "Marcus Aurelius"

Well, as long as "Gomi" isn't Japanese for "Hadrian", the title should be okay where it is Kondo went the distance with Vovchanchyn last spring in the first round of the Pride MW GP (Igor's first fight at the 205 mark). I don't know if it's a combination of lost power with Igor's lighter weight, or Kondo's head is just that hard, but Kondo "survived" the fight, with Igor picking up a UD from the judges. He lost to Tito Ortiz back in 2000, but he has three wins against 6'10 Semy Schilt, one over Frank Shamrock, and a VERY shifty loss to Henderson (Decision (Split)). I like Kondo, he's a great striker who can take a punch, but his bread and butter is his Pancrase-honed ground game. BTW, Kondo lost to Funaki once, but I think everyone in PANCRASE has lost to Funaki at one time or another. Oh yeah, and Kondo had a fight against a guy in PANCRASE once called Kick Boxer (no relation to "Jay Kick"). No shit, look him up. In typical Hammer House fashion, Baroni is very hot and cold. Baroni and Minowa had a stand up war of attrition (Well, Minowa ate a lot of knuckle sandwiches while Baroni was losing the war with Lactic acid), and Baroni absolutley CRUSHED Ryo Chonan. Baroni has some serious confidance and ego issues, so if he's focused for this fight, he should be able to dish out some of his BLAZINGLY fast, anchor-like punches. Baroni has power to go in his punches, but his problem is focus. Well, Minowa/Giant Silva makes sense. Like you said, there's always a WWE style booking in Pride events at least once a year. Pride is also likely using (mis)matches like this one to promote their open weight GP this summer (of which I would not be surprised to see Minow be a part). I just hope "The Punk" kicks the shit out of that useless, 7'whatever pile of garbage.

Fedor was actually a bit more jovial in doing it then I expected. I'm pretty sure that if Fedor did that with a total straight face, the whole arena would have shit themselves. And Barnett would be in hiding. I'm surprised no one has ever come up with one of those Mr. T/Chuck Norris/Vin Diesel lists for Fedor. "When Fedor gives a thumbs down...the universe sobs in fear" Ok, maybe someone else better put one of these together, LOL

No way. Unlike that hoser Chuck Norris, Fedor's accomplishments are not only too many to name, but impossible, as even the mere speaking of his deeds weaken Fedor's power because words themselves are unable to convey them.
