So, rather than start a brand new board, I figured, why not just have a thread for it?
First topic: Of the announced teams for the McPro Tag League, who do you think will win?

I'm pulling for Team Ryder,
But my gut (named Herman) is telling me that the Upper Class Connection will win.
*Gurgle*
Quiet down Herman, this isnt the place nor time.

I, too, would like to throw my sombrero into the ring in support of Taco John's employee Jeff.

I think that Chapel and Jason have the biggest chance, if only by name recognition alone, but that automatically means that they'll be jobbing in either the finals or the semi-finals to put over one of the lesser-known teams.
As actual teams go, WHAIT PAAUR~ has a good insurance policy in Bunny, and the only team that would be able to meet or ace Tess Harper would be ARMADA. Belleza's good enough at her "art" of deception that she could create a distraction that would even draw Bunny's attention.
Tech Support could easily take this, too, if only because of Flip Staley. The Dods, in typical Dod fashion, could easily be the dark horse.

So why don't you just pick everybody, huh?
Seriously though... the Jason Wesley side of me wants to laugh at all of you for even CONSIDERING someone else... but the fan in me says... go DODS!

The Blocks are set as follows...
Block A Upper Class Connection (Jason Wesley/Chapel Hillcrest) White Power (Jimmy Jack/Big Moe) Dod Squod (Jack/Iggy Dod) Tech Support (Flip Staley/Koichi Sugiyama)
Block B Hardcore: Enhanced (Lance Blade/Fury Maniac) ARMADA (Galcian/Ramirez) Team Mexico, Version Tres (???/Taco John's Employee Jeff) Team Ryder (Eddie Swan/Frog Jones)
...I think it's safe to say there hasn't been this much tag team wrestling talent in e-feds since the heyday of the C-CWA!
Over in Block A, the biggest story is the surprise addition of the Dods, but fan support for the UCC is pretty high - there's rumblings about the first Jason Wesley/Flip Staley in-ring encounter since Wesley left NDP, but from early reports, it seems Staley is taking it more seriously than Wesley is...
In Block B, the Hardcore:Enhanced reunion is the BIGGEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD, but who knows who'll come about to partner with Taco John's Employee Jeff? Rumors abound of the BIGGEST NAMES IN LUCHA LIBRE being courted - could McPro see The Chairman of the Board, S.F. Outdoors Recreational Area?!
Also, Team Ryder has a large amount of momentum coming into this tournament, Eddie Swan with big victories in Wild including his run with the Grandmaster's Championship ONLY JUST ending recently with a loss to 6IM Trainer MJB; and Frog Jones has shown himself to be pretty successful on the indy circuit with strong matches in Spunk Pro as well as McPro, and being featured in various matches against the Orochi-O's company...
As much as they like to believe they aren't, ARMADA HAS to be the dark horse in Block B, even so much as getting the dreaded "Who are you?" chants from the live McPro audience! They've got the most to prove in this league, but the youth of Ramirez could be the weak point of this technically sound team.
SO! New question: What would you want to see in the Finals?

So why don't you just pick everybody, huh? 'kay. /me picks everybody. I can't lose! :D SO! New question: What would you want to see in the Finals? Since this is a tag team tournament, it really should be full teams that make it into the finals. So, that eliminates the Upper Class Connection, Tech Support, and Team Mexico. The Dod Squod will likely make it to the finals from Block A, as I don't think that even White Power's antics can out-antic the Dods. Fanboyishness makes me want to say that ARMADA will sweep Block B easy, with the only potential roadblock to their TAG TEAM DOMINANCE being Team Ryder.

Dusting the thread for a call back...
in the News/Results section, there's a "Special" news update post thingy, "A Brief History of McPro" - this is a DUMP EXCLUSIVE~! and won't be posted anywhere else... so, what's the general opinion of it? Yay, nay? More, less? "Go to hell Joe, you spend too much time thinking about crap like this?"
That said... would you like to see MORE of these sorts of DUMP EXCLUSIVE~! posting things? On what?

I loved it, i thought it was great. Helped to give history of that general region's response to wrestling too, which can always be helpful for like explaining the crowd's reaction and wrestler pyschology to evoke a specific crowd reaction from that region. And the past champions/history was cool. Especially when wrestling heroes of the past come into present day McPro for appearances, it means more for us to see what they did, you know? Of coure you do! So yeah, i enjoyed it very much and would love to see more history of McPro/midwest region stuff! Great show too, the debut of Monkey got me excited!! And I'm interested in that specific angle for many reasons as you can imagine
