Remake of the first Fire Emblem from NES for the Nintendo DS. The game Marth starred in.
This game is a step backwards from all the other Fire Emblem games, but it's understandable I guess considering this is a remake. I'm still in the beginning of the game so some features might change but, for now, only Marth can visit towns, which is kinda annoying. There is no automatic suspending feature that was present in all the other portable Fire Emblem games. You could suspend manually though, but it's not the same.
Another nuisance, the game forces you to have a set number of people if you want access to Gaiden chapters. But then again, it's not like you use every single character you get in a Fire Emblem game anyways.
An added feature that I've stumbled early in the game is a 1 time save point during a chapter. I'm on the first chapter it showed up so I'm not sure if its there for the other chapters.
That said, everything else plays like any other Fire Emblem game and a good buy. Also gotta get used to the 3D models instead of 2D sprites during battles.
