After running a couple shows in Match Maker mode (hey, turns out I'm pretty good at this "booking" thing...), I figured I'd write down my latest for All Japan...
-It was requested that I book Aja Kong, so I said, "Why the hell not?"
-I FORGOT what venue I ran as I was booking the show... so I got a little over-zealous in my match making.
Ran in venue with 15,000 max attendance - No TV
15980 sold
Match 1 - 61%
Aja Kong def. Noumi Nakanishi
-I don't really remember much of this match. Except it ran like, seven minutes.
Match 2 - 60%
Masanobu Fuchi def. AKIRA
-I'm disappointed in this match... when I'd booked it before, it was actually really good. Fuchi def. AKIRA with a Small Package roll up.
Match 3 - 64%
RO&D (Jamal, Buchanan, D'Lo Brown, Taiyo Kea) def. Voodoo Murders (TARU, Shuji Kondo, "brother" Yasshi, Giant Bernard)
-This match was only 15 minutes - turned out that "elimination tag" option I thought I hit made it an "Over the Top Rope" match - Jamal hucked TARU out after some pretty good back and forth from both teams.
Match 4 - 87%
Hiroshi Hase def. Jim Steele
-HASE! strikes one back for the Diet and whips some gaijin ass in the meantime! This was really good.
Match 5 - 90%
Keiji Mutoh def. Shinjiro Ohtani in 16:39 via Rounding Body Press
-OH. MY. GOD. Ohtani brought the awesome in this one, and Mutoh was pretty damn good too. Ohtani was all dominant in the first bit, then Mutoh got some offense in (including the Rapid Dragon Screw -> Figure Four Leg Lock, which I marked for like a school girl), and then hit the Shining Wizard - which Ohtani no sold. This match was GOLDEN!
Match 6 - 80 %
Masa Chono def. Toshiaki Kawada
-Kawada dominating, until he MISSED~! a Gamengiri, letting Chono get all Butterfly Locky on him for the submission win.
Match 7 - 61%
Satoshi Kojima def. Kensuke Sasaki via COUNT OUT?
-BULLSHIT! Kenskay gets a return match, SOON!
Overall Rating - 73%
-This wasn't a bad show... The topcard was obviously th strong seller, and Koji defeating Kenskay via COUNT OUT was what really sank the show, which had been on an awesome streak. The undercard was kinda THERE - I need to learn to say "no" I guess, when peoples ask to be on my shows. Fuchi/AKIRA was a disappointment, but maybe I could've gone with Fuchi v. Kaz Hayashi or made it a tag match of some sort.
All in all... I think it needed more HERO!
