JB is probably locked in his panic room after reading about Johhny Goosemonic. You brought it on yourself, yo.
PS: This is a pretty awesome nut-hugger thread! ;D

Ha!
You know, I have been working on it on my computer (so I'll eventually be able to update the site). That's gotta count for something... I didn't realize how little I had done other than what I had put up originally. I need more time for FPR testing, and the the ability to write (which I don't like to do, really).
Anyway, the fight style page is up now and incomplete! (well, it's enough for now, so fuck it) Don't expect more any time soon... (But continually check just in case!)

UPDATE!!! *Sounds the "Horn of Dods" to summon JD* This is an excellent update! Considering what we had been talking about on the FPC about fight styles (and my complete lack of comprehension for "American" style), this is really gonna come in handy for me!

ps jb just a reminder as your site has reminded me: You need to make the ToS Knuckle Arrow as a front grapple weak strike.

It's EXACTLY like in LOTR when the fire signals were lit across the mountain range! LOL, I could totally see that happening with news of JB UPDATEZ instead of whatever little squirmish Middle Earth was complaining about at the time LOTR 3: should have been "Return of the Blackhart!" I think he's referring to Tests of Strength unless there's some "Knuckle Arrow" rule in the Dump/Proboards Terms of Service ...which really there may very well be in Dump rules. Some kind of corollary to the treatise! ;D

YEAH! Deibu was talking aboot the Test of Strength Knuckle Arrow. I think we've discussed it in the past where we liked that animation better than the regular grapple version. And I was going to replace it in my GBA hack, but I don't think I ever got to try it. It could also be done for FPR.

The regular grapple knuckle arrow is cool but the ToS one looks more vicious I also prefer the weak grapple horizontal chop over the standing attack chop and the standing elbow pat over the grapple elbow pat. The ones i mentioned seem to have more impact.

Ah, I see.
-with me variety is the key, I would want BOTH. If I had any programming brains I'd try to make as many move variants as I could... I mean, just with the different powerbomb position setup auto taunts... -like the styles clash setup into a wild bomb whip, or a last ride setup before a ganso bomb... or a pedigree kick before a tiger driver... a praying piledriver, a stunner kick diamond cutter... crap like that.
They all have the same animation after a point, and I just think it would be super keen.
-But that's just me. I think making the standing bozac into a front grapple was the highest achievement in the history of humanity, so...

Oh, yeah, if FPJ (the game, created from scratch) ever became reality, the various setup thingy would be in for sure, as I've had the same thought (plus something similar regarding a modified countering system).
Thing is with h4x0ring the existing game is there's only so much space, so you usually would have to make a choice with one or the other.

I would agree with that, as I think the level of variety REALLY helps flesh out the differences in edits/characters. The difference between a heel OrochiGeese having the "Last ride" setup before the Ganso Bomb and the old face Bolt just having the Ganso itself would be a big difference in my mind. Being able to chain modifiers (like the toe-kick) into big moves like the Tiger Driver or Stunner vs. just having the moves alone would be cool. And even subtle changes can give characters such different feeling moves from each other even if they are theoretically similar in impact. Yeah, so while I definitely prefer some variants (like grapple chop) over others (like standing chop), in the end I will ALWAYS prefer having them both in to have more choice. That's one of the reasons I love Fire Pro to begin with, it gives us so many choices in implementing moves, finishers, etc Making it even more customizable (in the ways you mentioned for moves) would rule

If you need a name for it, it should be Burning Style MetsuKen.
AM I RITE
Oh, and on the setup pose, we'd definately need a ducked Lariat to Fatman Slam, MetsuKen apeal to MetsuKen('cause damnit, the CPU NEVER does this) and possibly a holding in front facelock cut throat to Burnerbreaker.
Man girl, I can't half go on.
