So I am listening to Crimson and Crimson II, and for shits and giggles randomly look through all of Dan Swano's projects on Metal Archives. I get to Steel, which does not have the word "death" in the genre, but instead says "power metal". Of course I have to check it out, and out comes 1980s heavy metal clicheness from Dan Swano and Opeth. Good thing: songs are free and a download link can be found at the Wikipedia page. Bad thing: Only four songs. I WANT MORE STEEL!!!

For anyone who might just happen to be a Metroid Metal sponsor, there's a new track up for ya's. Space Pirate Battle Theme, and it's 4:48 of awesome.

Is that the song that plays in Metroid Prime when Space Pirates are attacking?! Because I LOVE that track! But you can only get it if you're a sponsor...? Any chance you could hook me up with that track next time I catch you on AIM, moto?

It's actually two different Space Pirate Battle Themes in one. The first part is the Space Pirates Laboratory Gate theme, which is done as a big, awesome intro, and the second part is the full-on battle theme. It's quite great, but, I'm afraid I'm gonna hafta decline your request. You could always donate a couple bucks to Metroid Metal, though. Some of the bonus material that's available for sponsors is awesome, and totally worth it.

Speaking of Metroid... anybody seen that insane 100% time attack video for Super Metroid? That be some crazy shit, yo. Almost as crazy as the crazy awesome that is Metroid Metal.

Any idea if Stemage's CD is gonna be, like, sold only on the Internet, or if I could go to a store and pick it up? 'Course, he also said it'll be available on iTunes, so there's that option, too...
