I can't believe we all missed out on this one; happy 10th birthday, Dreamcast!
Ten freakin' years. I can't believe it. God, I can't believe it at all. Where the fuck did the last ten years go, man?
At any rate, we all fondly remember our favorite system ever (at least, those of us that have hearts). The bringer of SoulCalibur that skated into our hearts with funky beats on Jet Grind Radio, that took us online and showed us just how bad we were at football games, and how awesome it was to go kill a dragon with people from Canada, Japan, and Germany all at the same time (Mililily, Mariko, and Del - still my favorite party members of all time), our last great bastion of wacky shit like Space Channel 5. You were a shooting star. You burned bright, you burned fast, you burned out before your time. You were thinking.
Yeah, thinking "What the fuck happened to me?"

Ahh, I forgot to copy my Dreamcast bday message from the FPC thread I made: So today is the 10 year birthday of the Dreamcast. A system I still have hooked up today and play. (Just played it two days ago actually). And a system where I played my first Fire Pro game ever, Fire Pro D, the one that brought me to this community. This was such an excellent system - so I figured I'd do what the kids do and "drop a hawt thread" (or whatever their lingo is, i think it involves "dropping" stuff). So feel free to celebrate and POST YOUR FUN EXPERIENCES with your DREEMCATS: og-fpd.fireproclub.com/PW-W/DijonNexus.gifI still remember when I first got the system - it was a year after launch and in the mid summer of 2000. I went bonkers with Marvel vs. Capcom 2 basically all summer with a little Soul Caliber thrown in. Next thing I knew, Alpha 3 and KOF '99 took all my time for about two-three years. Alpha 3 became my favorite stand alone SF game and KOF '99 became the first KOF game i really truly "understood". Then Capcom vs. SNK 2 came out in late '01 (around this time of year actually) and it reaffirmed the Dreamcast as the best system for fighting games like ever. And then... Then I heard Fire Pro D came out. I had always wanted to play an FPW game but I never had the system to do it until my DC. So I bought it...played it...had no freaking clue what was going on. And I put it away for a year and went back to getting my wrestling fix from No Mercy and my fighting fix from CvsS2. Then I picked up FPD a year later and well...next thing I knew, I woke up here  To this day I still play CvsS2 and Alpha 3 - at least one of them a month 8)

Huh, that's why there was that Dreamcast article on IGN. I was wondering why they wrote about it when I saw the Dreamcast headline.

Birthdays only last 24 hours. Stop cheating the system, you won't get extra presents.
