Yakuza > Urban Reign
Hmm, I wonder how my friendly neighbourhood video store half-wit would tackle those two titles?
Vid Girl: Uh, yoor-ban regan and yajirobi are late.
Me: No they aren't. Go recheck your shelves and quit skipping English class.

www.ferryhalim.com/orisinal/Interesting website containing like 40-50 quirky minigames. There's some fun and innovative gameplay for some of these games with excellent...EXCELLENT music. Most of the games are radically different from each other and pretty different from what we usually see. Beware: Some cutesy graphics Most of the games can be played with the mouse alone, a few require the spacebar in addition. But very fun to just go through the games and see what you like. Most games are very intuitive but some take a few seconds to understand what to do. There's even an interesting "running samurai" game, LOL Also, there's a focus in a lot of the games on managing multiple characters at the same time. In an ACTION game, not like an RTS or RPG. Not many action games have that concept where you have to deal with like 3-4 characters at once in a side scroller or something. Pretty innovative even though the games are short and simple in overall design. But not short on fun! YEAH!

I have ONE solid question to ask before I go buy Yakuza.

I was leafin' through the player's guide while waiting to see if Okami had come in, and, it has better.
There's a massage parlor.

I have ONE solid question to ask before I go buy Yakuza. Does it still have Shenmue's wanton fucking around? KITTENS!!! I just saw a girl on the side of the road with a drunken guy chasing her. I chose to help her, so she invited me to have a drink with her. I was somewhat leery, but I went. She kept nuzzling up to me, and asking for me to get a drink. I refused, but then changed my mind. She slipped me a mickey and stole my money. I later bump into her again, go back to the bar and beat the shit out of everybody for my money back. This was all a side quest, so yeah, there is meandering around. Nevermind some little girl wanted to save a puppy and I had to run all over town looking for fucking dog food... But I think that was a part of the actual storyline.

I'm really mad at Capcom. Okami was pushed back another week. Found that out when I went to go pick it up. [fucking aggro!!!1] So, I picked up Yakuza instead, along with LEGO Star Wars Classic. If I can actually manage to put down StarFox Command for a bit, I might actually get to check one of these two out (provided I can be arsed to get the XBox finally set up for the latter of the two games)!

Lego Star Wars 2 is fun. if you liked the first one, the second is more of the same awesomeness.
cutscenes are funnier, and you can load your save from the first and use those characters, and hey! it's the original trilogy. lots of brownie points just for that.

Damn right it's fun. LEGO Star Wars is <3 in video game form. Anyone who disagrees is a communist, or a whiny bitch that has nothing better to do than whine about lack of real-time light bloom shadow tracking on bump maps.

The first one is awesome. Seriously. Don't expect it to be, like, Star Wars Battlefront or anything. It's a very simple, very cutsey, very accessable little platformer/action game, made to be played with two people.

Would anyone like to try and explain to me why, even after having bought LEGO Star Wars and Yakuza, I was up 'till almost 1:00am last night fucking around in FPR?
